The insurance did not call me after the role play interview. Means, I did not get the job...
So I will stick to the job in the call center.
I will be starting 1 Sept. I hv faith in Allah. Allah knws what best for me. I will accept it.
Will update u on my customer service job.

Want to be in customer service or sales & marketing??
2 jobs offered me. 1 is temporary (I applied as full time - as usual la - biase I think) and 1 is permanent with good benefits.
the temporary is a call centre environment... they are an outsource company for different industries... i do not need to call pple... pple call me...inbound calls... since this is temporary... salary offered to me is $1500 with $100 attendance (no lateness, urgent leave or m.c)...i went for the interview for the position of Customer Service Representative on 20 August and they offered me on 25 August.
i am the type of person who always follow this..."first come first serve..." therefore i accepted this offer... well, i have sent in lots of applications and went to several interviews but no response... i am ok doing telemarketing at the moment but my family bising la... they dun like the pay! duhz... so no choice.. desperately NEED a JOB so i accept the offer though the pay is low.. i am confident i will get $1600 per month coz i dun like to take unnecessarily leave or m.c and i am NEVER late for work. i have signed the letter on 26 August at 4pm. starting on 1st sept, i told them that i want to sign on Friday, 27 August but they insisted that i signed on that day.. why did i ask for a delay to sign the letter?? please read on...
on the 25th august, i got a call from an insurance company informing me that i am shortlisted for an interview as an Account Development Executive (ATTENTION: I AM NOT DOING ACCOUNTS... ACCOUNT with S means the Accounting position...but ACCOUNT without the S is ... well,it is basically the same as Business Development Executive), they invited me for interview on 26 August at 2pm. since there are other candidates as well, they called us one by one (whoever arrives first will be called in first, I was the third last). every candidate must do a role play after the interview except for me... coz i was running late to sign the letter... i do not know the outcome of the insurance co so i go ahead & sign the other letter...
on 27 august, i received a call from the insurance company telling me that they actually find me suitable for the position because i have the basics... (i have telemarketing experience and my job scope as an Account Development Executive - Business Development Executive, for those who do not know what it is - is to do selling over the phone. yes, the same as the ones i declined but instead of bank products...i do insurance products...) and they want me to consider coz they will offer me a basic of $1800 + comm + attendance... i said yes and i was asked to come down to their office (which is at paya lebar - AGAIN??!) for the role play.
i did the role play quite well, according to the feedback from the hr who interviewed me and more likely i get the job. they will send me to take the test (if u want to sell insurance...u must have these papers....which i do not know what are they..will know if i got the job.. GOOD! more certificates to be added to my collection... hahaha...loves taking courses...) and they will pay for it.. however if i fail...i have to pay myself... as i am being employed by them...they will train me and at same time go for the course and take the exam... once I passed...i can sell... so if in that month I didnt get to sell...i'll be getting $1800 + attendance! isn't that more than the rest of the offers?! and furthermore... $1800 is my expected salary!
they will let me know the results by today...(today is already Monday, btw) if i am selected... my concern now is... if i am selected...i have to start on 1st sept!!! what abt the other one? i have signed the letter?! i seek help frm my ex-boss and few friends and they said as long as i have not started working yet...still can back out... Ainu suggested me not to come on 1st sept...
AIYAH.... dun know la... never happen to me b4... i know i am too impulsive... applied too many jobs at one time and now dun know which one to take... ARGH... how ah?
will continue later after i get any updates from the insurance... pray for me.. pray hard... i ask ALLAH for help too... if He thinks the call centre is good for me... i'll go ahead if He thinks this insurance is the right career for me... i'll go ahead... pray hard...pray hard...

Customer Service or Sales & Marketing??
While working as a TM (Telemarketer) temp at the current co, of course I have been searching for jobs - preferably full time & permanent, related to my degree.
Alhamdullilah.. Allah answered my prayers. There are 5 companies offered me but I turned down 2 of them and would gladly accepted the other 2.
For the 2 companies that I turned down, they are dealing with the same thing. They are an outsource companies for banks in Singapore. What they do? Well, just do selling on the phone. Selling bank products over the phone. Yes, I am comfortable with doing selling over the phone - I dun get to meet customers - and I know this comes with basic + commission.
My expected salary is $1800. However, it is impossible to get that as basic if I want to embark in sales career. The one in Henderson Road offered a basic salary of $1200 with $200 attendance bonus (in a month, must have 90% attendance) + commission (ranging from $500 & above). I do not mind taking it but if in the 1st and 2nd month, I didnt get to sell... I will get $1400! Too low!
The one in Aljunied is more pathetic. The Managers are malay, but the director is Chinese. The staffs are mostly malays... Hah.. Expected already.. malays they dun even mind the low salary as long as they got work. How much are they offering? A pathetic $800! YES... A BASIC OF $800 coz they gave very high commission. The commission ranges from $120 to $2000. If I am very confident that I can get extra commission of $2000 on top of my $800 basic, gives a total of $2800, I dun mind taking it. However, I turned it down due to same reason... if 1 or 2 months working there I can't get sales... $800 is NOT enuff for me to put food on the table...
The next offer which I decline is not doing sales... but doing telemarketing. Full time telemarketing and the commission is high.. Yes... very high. But pay is very low. The co can afford to buy expensive things as FREE GIFTS to the customers (the telemarketers has to cold-call customers to invite them to attend event, if they attend.. there will be free gifts) but very lokek to give high salary! The place is located at Selegie Road. Basic salary is $500! Mak ai! Semakin lower and lower seh... What about commission? I dun really understand how the commssion works but we can easily get $2500 to $3000, together with our basic. Patutlah ramai Filipinos in the co... $500 is already a big amount for them.
Will continue later for the 2 job offers that I accepted. Yes, I accepted both but we have to work for 1. Will tell u more and try to guess which 1 I will be taking...

For 2 nights, I have been dreaming of him. No idea why. Some are funny, some are ridiculous. Really had no idea why suddenly he appeared in my dreams...
P/S: the him I am referring to is not the him I know while working as a HR Exec.. the him I am referring to is someone i know from secondary school.... those secondary school ex-mates of mine... if u happen to read this... i am sure u know who is the him I am referring... yeah... I dreamt of him for 2 nights... no idea why he suddenly appeared in my dreams...
