There is only one malay in the new company - Me.
There are two Muslims in the new company - Me and the company driver.
He shows me where to perform prayers. (in a 'prayer room', in the office)
He explains some sayings in the Quran to me for my better understanding (there is a Quran kept in the 'prayer room', the Quran, with English translation belongs to him).
He scolds me if I never pray coz I saw a big cockroach in the 'prayer room'.
He buys chocolates for me knowing I love chocolates.
He buys perfume for me because he does not like the smell of my cologne 0_o
He always offers to bring me home (well, he is company driver, driving a big lorry to carry goods)
He is 15 years older than me (I am in HR dealing with those S Passes, E Passes and Work Permit for foreigners and I know all their information; date of birth; marital status etc) but he keeps saying he is 10 years older than me.
He is not a Singaporean.
He always answers with a, "Yes, darling..." whenever I call him on my mobile (regarding work of course) and I have to be firm at him and replied, "what darling?!"
He always text me with messages, "Hi dear Maria... what u doing now... I miss u u know.."
I brushed it all aside thinking.. well, it is normal...
Tapi kan... Cara dia berbual dgn aku, gerak geri dia... aku rasa lain macam ajer bunyi nyer.
The first week at my new workplace (I was still using my old hp, Nokia 6500 Slide), I approached him to ask if he has a charger as my hp batt has gone flat. He offered his charger. He looked at my phone and saw a photo of a kitty as my wallpaper.
He - Why u put cat photo. Put boyfriend photo la.
Me - I no boyfriend.
He - (looks at me) U no boyfriend? U sure.
Me - Nodding my head.
He - Ok, then put my photo la.
Me - Just smile, could not be bothered.
Just recently.... a few conversations....

He - Y u no boyfriend
Me - Dun want ah... too busy la...
He - I also busy wat...
Me - ????

He - If u want married, u want marry Singaporean or foreigner.
Me - Was shocked to hear that question but just answer it anyway, "Singaporean or Singapore PR."
He - Why U want Singaporean or PR
Me - If I marry foreigner... very troublesome... Must follow him to the country and stay there... I dun want stay there forever.... go there for few days or weeks ok but not to live there.... my heart still here, Singapore.
He - Ok la... I become PR.
Me - !!!!!!!?!

He - I dun want u cut hair short k make ur hair long.
Me - Dun want ah... I like short hair.. Long hair, I muz tie up... I dun want to tie..
He - Dun tie.. let go.. sure nice..
Me - ?!?!?!?!?!

He - See that lady
Me - (looks at malay lady who wears the tudung) and says, "yes...what's with her?"
He - See, wear tudung very nice. When u want to wear?
Me - InsyaAllah.
He - Amin

YAHOO!
GOT AN IPHONE!!!
Am using Starhub now. No more SingTel. If I were to switch from SingTel to Starhub, I get $100 off BUT I need to retain my SingTel number which I dun wish to retain it anymore. I have been using that 96 number since 2002. 8 years seh! Furthermore, like I've make a promise to myself, I want to change number to avoid childish disturbance from someone. If U have been constantly reading my blog, U shld know who is this someone I am referring to. Dun worry, his sister knows my new number and she has yet to save it as she is trying to come out with a perfect name to save my number. If she saved it as Maria, that someone can take a sneak into his sister's hp and dun say it anymore... u shld know what will happen.
Ok, gtg... wanna save my contacts from old hp to my iPhone now.

Hello..
Well, I am not really been in hiatus, just that I have been very very very busy. Lots of duties and responsibilities...
How time flies... I have been in the new job for more than a month. How do I find it? Interesting BUT stress! Hah
(Yang penting, FB can access... Nyahahahaha... Just kidding)
Huh? Ok, let me refresh U then... My new designation is HUMAN RESOURCES & CORPORATE SERVICES EXECUTIVE. Fuh! Bukan main gah siak nama.. Designation memang canggih but duties and responsibilities very the alot! I have to do liase with payroll (the company has engage a payroll company to do payroll for us), follow up with MoM on renew work permit, S Pass, Employment Pass, update to payroll company on the newcomers and fwd to payroll the newcomers' copy of NRIC, bank account details, schedule for interview (HR Role), do Organization Chart, schedule meetings for Managers, type letters for the Managing Director (MD), Corporate Development Director (CDD), order this and that, if server down... staff comes to me (Corporate Service Role) and if I know how to solve it (I am also an I.T Diploma graduate, remember), I'll handle it but if I can't, I will liase with the I.T people (same: company has engage I.T company).
And here is the next so-called exciting news...
My direct boss is the HR & CS Director. Both of us are under the MD. The MD may want to put me more into Corporate + Marketing. I am not so sure but she kept saying for the past 1 week, "you are in corporate... corporate relation... blah blah blah.." then when it comes to HR, she goes to my colleague, the Accounts Executive whom, I believe the MD may want to transfer her to the designation of HR CS Senior Exec...
Well, once if I know anything, I will update in this blog. Oh, the new office? Yup, we target the date to move to new place, 178 Paya Lebar (nearest: McPherson Circle line mrt) on 30 April but we have to postpone it till 28th May due to some of the demolition work halfway done still.
Ok peeps, till I update this blog again yeah...
