21st February 2007
As usual work. More stories to tell abt office politics. On 21st February, received a circular informing da staffs, secretaries and lawyers abt Dinner & Dance 2007 on 24 March 2007. We are allowed to bring only ONE partner.
I put a tick beside my name indicating that I am going and besides putting a tick, I write with. With means I would be bringing a partner. I tell u when I wrote that ah they had start talking already..
After lunch, I was asked by one of them a very annoying question, "So Maria, u'll be bringing a partner rite for dinner & dance?" I nodded my head. "Who"? I tell u ah da tone of "who" ah is not merely just asking, "who" but that tone ah is aiyah I dun know how to explain it but da tone of their question of "who" was definitely not merely asking but directing and hinting sumthing else.
So, wanna know WHAT I answered them? MY MOTHER. Some heard it kept quiet, da rest do not believe it so said among themselves, "She bring her mum lah." Dun want to believe, be it! I really will bring my mother. I am not lying to them. I am indeed going to bring my mother.
Bunch of busybodies.. I told them already. I have no boyfriend. Means I really have no boyfriend. Doesnt mean when I stated that I will be coming with a partner, they can assume I would be bringing my special guy friend or whoever. My mother can also be partner, cant she?
Before this, there was another incident. Remember 14th February? Yup, Valentine's Day. After work, I wasnt in a hurry to go home. So I was just sitting down outside da mrt station, waiting for my friend - a gal - to call me. We had plans to go out on that V-Day so instead of me rushing to da plc there 1st, I better wait for her calls or sms, in case she said she cant make it, it would be easier for me just to go home straight. If I were to go to da plc we're supposed to meet and she last min cant make it, it would be a hassle for me to go back home a LONG WAY.
Hence, I sat down outside da mrt station. I didnt notice anyone I know approaching me. But da next day, when I went down to da pantry to make myself some coffee, a staff from 15th floor - a man - came to me and asked me, "Yestday, u sat there alone, waiting for who?" I was already like, "huh?" Wanna know WHAT I ANSWER HIM? "I WAS JUST SITTING DOWN. Didnt wait for anyone." Feeling dissastisfied, he exclaimed, "Oh really?" Duh... Dun wanna believe then forget it.. dun interrogate me like a criminal!!!

Ainn's 25th birthday!
Also, there was Pesta Perdana at 8.3opm on Suria. Of course, I wouldnt want to miss that show. They did this once very 2 years so must grab da opportunity to watch it whether LIVE or on TV..
Da host for Pesta Perdana was none other than Suhaimi Yusof. Another versatile Mediacorp Artiste who can sing, act (in a comedy role), dance and host. Da other 2 co-hosts (only backstage) were Nurhuda Ali and this radio dj from ria fm.

I have no doubts about this. All kids look cute anyway. She won this for da second time in a row.

Well, I was quite surprised myself. My choice was Fadhilah Samsudin or Haizad Imram. But its OK.. Fauzie's acting not bad too.

I guess he deserved it. Good choice anyway. *shakes booties* >> Aaron Aziz didnt win this category.
BEST LEAD ACTRESS: Era Farida
Thank God Era won! If it was Nurul Aini, I would end up bashing da panels of jury. I couldnt believe she was nominated twice for da same category, one for Cinta Q, one for Garisan Takdir. Finally, they decided to give the trophy to Era Farida. She deserved it anyway cause her acting's real good.
BEST ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE: Suzairhe Sumari
I partly think he should get the award. It was either him or Khairudin Samsudin. His acting okaylah...not really the best though.
BEST ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE: Mastura Ahmad
Another great actress who deserved the award too.
BEST ACTOR/ACTRESS IN A COMEDY ROLE: Ahmad Stokin
He's fine. This had tough competition anyway. But I just dun understand why Norfasarie was nominated for this category!!! She wasnt even a comedian and her acting for that drama and that role wasnt even funny at all.
BEST HOST: Suhaimi Yusof
Durh. Currently one of the most comedic and favourite hosts around.
BEST DRAMA SERIES: Dian 3
Didnt really watch Dian 3 coz I always wasnt home - out for class. So I cant really comment if da drama's great or not.
BEST DRAMA SPECIAL: Buah Korma Air Zam Zam
No further comments.
BEST VARIETY SERIES: Popumentari
No Comment. But I felt that Najib Ali should have won this for Gemilang instead.

HE WON!!! YEAH!! But before Pesta Perdana, there was one artist who didnt named himself wrote abt his unsatisfaction. He asked why Taufik was nominated for this category
(he knew that if Taufik was nominated, Taufik will definitely win). A spokesman for Pesta Perdana replied to him that any artist can be nominated in da most popular personality as long as da artist is a malay. So, what is wrong with that?
*again shaking my booties* >> Aaron Aziz didnt win for this category this year!!! LoL. Sorry to fans of Aaron, no offence k.. but I just feel that other artiste should be given a chance la. Sumtimes I can find it bored if da same person won da same award almost every year.

25th February
As usual in da morning, instead of mandarin lessons, I went ahead with tuition. I cancelled da mandarin lesson and called up da parent to have an earlier tuition.
After that, I head down all da way from Boon Lay MRT to City Hall MRT to meet up with my penpals friends. Alice, from Malaysia will be arriving there first. Yup, she was there, waiting for me and we had lunch at Burger King - Marina Square. While havng lunch, Muneerah came and soon Dira. then 4 of us just walked around Marina Square and then to Suntec City. Dira and I stopped at Fox shop at Suntec to window shop for clothes there. Guess who I saw? SHAH ISKANDAR!!! Da winner of Best Newcomer - Hosting!! OMG! He's hotter in person!! I wanted to approach him but I was shy la!!! However he noticed me and I smiled so he smiled too! Aw, that's sweet.
But still I regret.. Opportunity is there already but I blew it! That was da only time I can get da chance to take picture with him but damn I was just too shy to approach him. Dira kept insisting me not to be shy just approach him and take picture but no use! I have this stupid shyness in me!!! Argh!!!
Damn! There goes my chance. Then we continue to walk all da way to Burger King (again - but in suntec) this time to meet up with Hidayah.
We were being entertained by Hidayah and her cool stories abt her life, her work, her pple, her production, her friends etcetra...
Before we headed home, we took pictures.. Sorry, da pictures couldnt be shown here coz I didnt take them. I didnt have a digicam yet (soon ok soon, i will!). Da gals have a camera each and they took da pictures so da pictures with them. I am just waiting for them to upload da pics.. I have to wait patiently coz all of them are busy with their own work.

Friends are the next closest pple in ur life. In all sorts of life, u meet them. Ur school life, social life, working life, all these lifes, u met friends...
Do I still keep in touch with my friends? Yes, I do.
Primary school friends
During ur primary school days, yes, we do have friends. They are da first "set" of friends we met. (If u do not include ur kindergarten days). At that time, we were still young. We did not knw what is "Friends". Da strong bond wasnt there. However, thanks to http://www.friendster.com/, I am able to get to know more abt their post-primary life thru their friends network. Sumhow or rather, I am keeping in touch with them.
Secondary school friends
I am more closer with my friends I met in secondary school. Faridah, Rosliah, Ainn, Nazrul, Firdaus (Bob), Seri and Suresh. I shared almost everything abt me with them. Becoz of da bond we have with one another. We know one another since secondary school and those were da days secondary school students comprehend, "what is friends?", "friends are there for each other or one another."
Seri, after her Os, she pursued her studies in TMC Academy for PSD - Private Secretary Diploma but she stopped it halfway due to financial. Now she is working in a sales assistant in wheelocks plc. Nazrul, he worked as a store assistant in Carrefour. After that, he had to serve for his National Service. After completing his National Service, he worked and studied at da same time. He worked part time (only during da day) and studied part time (in da evening) too..Congratz!! He had graduated in Sept 2005 in Diploma in Food and Beverages from a private instituition. (CLUE: Definitely not SHATEC).
Ainn, as to those of u who are ardent readers, u have known that she has fly to Sydney Australia to pursue her studies there. Before, she was studying in LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts for her Diploma, after completing O levels. Faridah, went to ITE Dover after her Os and she did not end her studies there. After graduating from ITE Dover, she went on to study at ITE Bishan-then-move-to-Simei for her Higher Nitec in Nursing. Now, she is a nurse.. *smilez*
Rosliah, she had always wanted to work in a police force due to da fact that her CCA was NPCC. While waiting for her Os, her father who was a chauffer to one of da big bosses of her current company (no joke, she still works there) recommended her da job and she has to work there permanently so she cant further her studies. Her company, however, does provide courses for their staff. I believe she attended them.
Suresh, I heard that he has just started his degree course in Mechanical Engineering, prior to his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering he obtained from Singapore Poly. He couldnt enrol straight away to this degree course becoz he had to be enlisted for NS in SPF (Singapore Police Force) first.
Safary went to ITE Balestier after da Os. We kinda lost contact after da year 2002. Then early this year, I saw him at da Clementi Bus Interchange in da SBS uniform. He might be working there. My guess was right. One day, when I was on my way back home from a game of pool with B, J and PW, I waited for bus no 285. Da bus came and I saw Safary driving it!! We smiled but I didnt get da chance to talk to him. Well, he was doing his work, so I dun wanna disturb. He should be concentrating on his work coz he has to drive..he has to be careful on da road..
Firdaus aka Bob, went on to pursue his interest with da world of arts in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts - NAFA after completing O Levels. After earning his Diploma from NAFA, he embark on a business journey. No joke. He is now a businessman. What a young businessman he is.. I blogged abt him before that he has a business of his own and I am proud of him coz he's malay and he is a budding businessman. Not only does Bob has his own business / company (Ideaz That Work Pte Ltd), he too opens up a shop @ Clementi in Shop In (name: Four Colours). WoW.. I would like to be like him.. U must be pondering, where does he get his capital from? I know where da capital came from. He shared it with me. Pretty impressive.. Since I am majoring in marketing, shall I try it too? Hmm.. *thinking*
Diploma Friends
After u left secondary school, next step is, As? Diploma? ITE? or work? No matter how close we were during secondary school, our next phase in life (which is post-secondary) will "separate" us but make us a different person.
I went to INFORMATICS INSTITUTE for my Diploma in Computer Studies. In da school, I met with another group of friends. They are Ari (Indonesian), Mike (Filipino), Keyasudeen (Malaysian), Syafiq (Bruneian), Khai, Jack, Mulyadi, Azel, Hui Sheng, Amy, Shawn, Alex, Brandon, Fat Cat, Derrick, Gwen, Jasmin, Wei Lun, Indu, Farah (all Singaporeans).
For Mike and Keyas, we have lost contacts. Da last thing I heard is both of them are already married. Ari, he's married too and has a son. His son is very cute.. and chubby.. He has da looks of Ari.. :)
Syafiq, he is in Brunei with his family (consists of his Malaysian Dad and Singaporean Mum - but both of them migrate to Brunei after their marriage - himself, and 3 younger sisters). He has completed his Diploma in Computer Studies from INFORMATICS and then he left to his home town. He is now studying Higher Diploma in Computer Networking in a private institute in Brunei.
Indu, after her Diploma in Computer Studies, she continued with her Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies. Now she is in Australia pursuing a degree. Farah.. Indu and Farah are as close as sisters.. U can neva see them apart.. :D As for Farah, she went straight to Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies becoz she has her A levels, hence she did not need to study for Diploma. She has completed her Advanced Diploma, and is now in SIM - UOL for her Computer degree.
Jack..I remembered him as da youngest guy among da group of Ari,Keyas, Mike and Syafiq - da 5 of us ALWAYS together.. They mingled with Khai and Wei Lun too. They're a bunch of friendly and sociable guys. Back to Jack. He is now working as a Financial Planner (ManuLife). Hmm, I already have a Savings Plan with NTUC Income through my uncle and his wife. I may want to have a Health, Life and Investment Plan next. Shall I consider Jack? Hehehe...
For Azel, Derrick, Wei Lun, Gwen, Fat Cat and Brandon . I wasnt that close with them but I have their contacts. Once in a blue moon, I sent sms to ask how they were doing and etcetra. For Brandon, I was surprised when he told me that he his wife bore him a son!! And I was like, "U're already married?!" He was proud to say, "Yes. I am."
Fat Cat.. why pple call him that coz he likes pple to call him that. I have no idea why.. But da name kinda cool. I wasnt that close with him too. Hmm, da last I hear from him is, he is a teacher in a student care. *applause*
Mulyadi.. da last time I've seen him was last year in May or June when Indu organised a BBQ. It was da last BBQ in Spore for her coz (well read da above post abt Indu - I am not gonna repeat!). U may wish to know more abt Mulyadi. I have a link from my blog to his blog. Go ahead and browse around.
Amy, another one of my friend embarking on a business journey. Together with her boyfriend (maybe now is call husband), they opened up a pet shop, if I am not wrong. I admire pple with that kind of mindset - Be your own boss! Shall I start to have that kind of mindset too? Heehe..
Alex and Shawn.. I contacted them not like once in a blue moon.. Its hmm as and when I feel like it. Hahah..Both of them were into business right after completing their studies but that business sumhow failed just a few weeks before both of them had to be enlisted to NS. Dun worry guys.. U can built up ur business again. Just stay focus..
Jasmin.. she too runs her own business but it wasnt really hers - her brother's. But profit will be shared between them!! How cool is that!? She has to travel to UK and US too coz their clients resides there and she is assigned to talk to them!! Wow.. Now lets see, Bob, Amy, Jasmin - total 3 of my friends are running their own business / company. Not bad eh.. I am lucky to have friends like that.. Teehee..
Hui Sheng, da guy who sat next to me in class for CS101: Computers and Information Processing. He was late on that 1st day and had no where to sit, he saw an empty seat next to me, he sat there. Yup, still remember those days.. Well, after finishing with our Diploma, I kinda lost contact with him. Thanks to Friendster.com, I managed to contact him!! It seemed that he changed his number. We exchanged contacts and more often than not, sumtimes we played pool together. He works for his dad's logistics company. He doesnt want a big post coz he wasnt that interested with logistic.
Lastly Khai.. he has ORD in February and guess what? Since he has Diploma in Computer Studies - same as me - same as most of my diploma friends I'd mentioned above - he wish to pursue for his DEGREE in BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION from University of Wales, UK - SAME AS ME!!! Finally, a friend from my diploma pursuing same degree course as me.. Hooray!! However he is still undecided whether to take Management as his major or Marketing..
Pen-pals friends
In da middle of my secondary sch years and/or my diploma years, I was still in pen-palling. I wrote letters to my "pen-pals". Mind u, my pen-pals are not from outside Singapore.. Most of them are from Singapore! Why resort to pen-palling? Well, at that time, internet technology wasnt that advance yet.. hehehe..
Da only pen-pals I am close with is Alice, from Malaysia (da only pen-pal I have from Malaysia) and Dira. Da rest like Liza, Muneerah, Ayu well, we still do keep in contact thru sms, emails, friendsters and msn.. *smilez*
Social friends
When u hang out or chill out alone, u may bump into friendly strangers. Better bump into friendly ones than bad ones.. I met with only 1 so far hehehe.. She is Hanim. 3 years older than me. We met in August 2004. We are close coz most of her friends are already married/planning for marriage/engagged/planning for engagement. As for her, she has a boyfriend and I know him too. But both of them are not ready to settle down yet. Reason: Instability of finance.. Dun worry, take it slow. Jodoh tu tak ke mana..
Volunteering friends
In da year 2004, I did some volunteering service @ West Coast Student Service Centre. Met a lot of cool pple there.. Shah, Anura and etc. But all of us are no longer volunteering there due to politics happening there. Sigh.. Even a student centre has politics too!!? My god.. I wasnt involve in da politics but I will only defend those who have been wronged >> Anura, Shah, Jaja and da rest whose names I shall not mentioned.
Degree friends
To end this entry, I shall rant a little abt a few of my friends I met during my degree course. Since I am studying my degree part time due to work commitments, so do my degree friends of mine.
Firstly, I met Joanne. She completed her Diploma from LaSalle (nope, she doesnt know Ainn) and she pursue University of Wales degree in Bachelors of Science (hons) in Business Administration Finance actually. A few months later, she switched her major from Finance to Marketing.. I guess Finance major is too difficult for her to concentrate on. I second that. It is not as easy as u think unless u have a Diploma in Finance or Diploma in Accounting.
Second is, Coco. She is happily married to her boyfriend last year. She works sumwhere in Raffles Place.. Maybe we can go for lunch together too.. She has graduated from University of Wales Business Administration Marketing last year with good grades.. Congratz friend.
Thirdly and maybe da final one is Pauline. She works in MNC pharmaceutical company for many years already. She is a secretary reporting to a director!

Ever since I watched Curse of The Golden Flower movie, da law firm I am currently working in now is sumhow undergoing a "curse" since da starting of da new year. 1 by 1 staffs - including 3 lawyers (ELK is one of them ) and secretaries (ELK's secretary is one of them) - tendered.
Reflect back to what I rant on 5 February 2007. By Friday, 9th February, I hope I get a call soon. If not, I wont give up to find some other jobs. AFTER WHAT I HEARD, IT MAKES ME MORE DETERMINED TO RESIGN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECOZ I CANT TOLERATE THIS ANY LONGER!!!
W.E.F 2nd Feb, ELK, da lawyer in charge of TM dept spoke to me and BB. Referring to my entry dated December 16 2006 , he feels that I need reinforcement, hence he gave one portfolio away from me and gave it to BB.
My 2 portfolios are doing da CD 29, CD 64, CD 17 and BRUTM27 as well as handling gazzettes and journals of not only Singapore TM files BUT also Malaysia and Brunei. 2 portfolios may sound easy or not that many BUT IT IS MANY WHEN U SEE FILES KEPT PILING UP TILL SUMTIMES I HAVE TO STAND WHILE TYPING OUT DOCUMENTS BECOZ DA FILES ALREADY TAKING UP MY SEAT.
So, he took one portfolio away, which was, CD29, CD64, CD 17, BRUTM 27. And I am left doing da journals. It didnt matter to me at all. He wants to lessen my workload, I'll accept it. He's da boss, he has da right to decide. HOWEVER....
Da day when I have to train BB on that portfolio of mine, OMG... Many busybodies la in this company. 1 by 1 kept asking me. They eagerly wanna know and they insist to know that very moment. Fine.
"Eh, why ah u have to teach BB?"
"How would I know? He wants me to teach, I teach ah."
"He didnt tell u why?"
"How would I know."
I am so fcuking fed up la.. IF THEY WANNA KNOW SO MUCH RITE, WHY DUN THEY GO IN AND ASK HIM DIRECTLY, "Mr ELK, why does MBS have to train BB?" What will they get for an answer!!! Bunch of busybodies!!! CANT THEY MIND THEIR OWN FCUKING BUSINESS?!!!
BUT AFTER I HEARD THIS VERY HURTING PLUS INSULTING REMARKS,I HAVE PROMISED MYSELF THAT I MUST RESIGN FROM THIS COMPANY BEFORE I BLOW MY TOP!!
BB told me this morning that she almost want to cry when pple said da same remarks to her but she controlled her tears. When she told me of da same, I was angry. I speak as loud as I can so that da others can get to hear me and know how ANGRY I AM. Although BB didnt mention any names to prevent any controversies, still I talked as loudly as I can. Let them know HOW ANGRY I WAS!!!
DA INSULTING REMARK WAS, "So, BB..Now u have TO CLEAR ALL HER SHITS la.."
DUN U FIND IT FUCKINGLY INSULTING!!! CANT THEY JUST SAY BACK LOGS? WHY MUST USE SUCH A CALUMNIATING WORD SUCH AS SHITS!!! HELLO!! DUN THEY REALIZE THAT I AM DIPLOMA HOLDER. IF HE GAVE ME, A DIPLOMA HOLDER "SHITS", WHAT ABT THEM THEN, WHO DOESNT HAVE DIPLOMA? WONT THEIR WORK BE FAR WORSE THAN SHITS?!!!!
LET ME JUST VENT IT OUT.. SO THAT I WILL FEEL BETTER. TO WHOEVER FUCKER WHO SAID THAT TO BB, I JUST WANNA TELL U THIS, "SINCE WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING FOR DA PAST 11 MONTHS IN THIS LAW FIRM ARE NOTHING BUT SHITS, I TAKE IT. I DUN MIND DOING DA SHITS I AM SUPPOSED TO DO COZ I WAS PAID TO DO IT.. AND MIND U, MY SALARY THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME IS $1,600. YES..FOR ALL DA SHITS I HAVE TO DO, I WAS GIVEN THAT SALARY! AND I AM HAPPY TO DO DA SHITS THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO DO. HMM, MAYBE U ARE AWARE THAT I WAS GIVEN THAT KIND OF PAY FOR DOING ALL DA SHITS, SO U'RE KINDA OF ENVIOUS THAT INSTEAD OF PASSING TO U TO CLEAR ALL MY SHITS, ELK PASSED IT TO BB SO U SAID THOSE OFFENSIVE REMARKS. IF U WANNA INSULT ME, PLEASE HAVE SOME LIMIT. DUN MAKE IT TO SUCH EXTENT. IF U ARE A LAWYER AND U SAID THOSE REMARKS TO BB OR TO ME OR TO, I CAN ACCEPT IT BUT UR POST IS DA SAME AS ME, AND YET UR WORDS ARE SO ABUSIVE! TRYING TO SHOW UR "AUTHORITY"? U ARE HUMAN. I AM HUMAN TOO. HUMANS HAVE FEELINGS. DA WAY U BLURT OUT DA WORDS, U DIDNT EVEN WANNA THINK OF HOW I WOULD FEEL? U ONLY THINK OF URSELF!! FINE. LET ME ASK U SOMETHING, IF U ARE BEEN INSULTED DA WAY THAT I HAVE BEEN INSULTED, HOW WOULD U FEEL? DEFINITELY U WILL FEEL DA SAME WAY AS I DO. I HAVE NO IDEA ABT UR EDUCATIONAL STATUS BUT I AM PRETTY SURE MOST OF DA STAFFS - except da lawyers - HAVE AT LEAST O LEVELS. SO FAR AS I KNOW, I AM DA ONLY ONE WHO IS DIPLOMA HOLDER. I DUN KNOW I DUN CARE I DUN BOTHER! LET ME REPEAT, I HATE IT IF PPLE OF A LOWER EDUCATIONAL STATUS INSULT ME!!! I REALLY HATE IT!!! SO IF U HAPPEN TO HAVE A LOWER EDUCATIONAL STATUS THAN ME, READ THIS AGAIN: I HATE IT!!! REALLY HATE IT!! "

2nd February was on Friday. As usual, I went to work. Da usual routine. 1pm time for lunch. 2pm back from lunch. 5.30pm ON DA DOT, I left da office NOT to GO home BUT to G0 to TOA PAYOH and wait for one of da HapyHady there.
P/S: In case you readers are still blur on what is HapyHady? Well, HapyHady is a name given to ALL HADY MIRZA's fan!! *smile* And Hady does acknowledge us as his fans, da HapyHadys.. Well, becoz one of da HapyHadys is his aunt (she is married to Hady's uncle) told him about this fan club and he did visit da website before.. Thus, he knows we are da true fans of Hady known as HapyHadys.. *thumbs up*
Whats da occasion? Well, I WON DA TICKETS TO SINARAN HATI!!! Hence I would be watching it LIVE from MediaCorp studios.. Since it was my first time (how pathetic!) going to MediaCorp, I asked if any of da HapyHadys who are going can wait for me at Toa Payoh MRT station and direct me to MediaCorp.
So one of them >> Seth HapyHady (already met him during our HapyHadys gathering - so he was NO stranger to me.. LoL) being a gentleman waiting for me and directing me da way to da MEDIACORP. From Toa Payoh, we have to take bus 157.
P/S: I thought MediaCorp is @ Tanjong Pagar!!! Wahahahaha.. How silly can I be? Why would I think MediaCorp is at Tanjong Pagar?!!?
At 6.30pm, Seth and I reached MediaCorp. Now time to redeem my free ticket from Anthony, da President of HapyHadys Fan Club.
We have to wait outside for about 1 hour before we were allowed to go in. We have to be sitted by 8pm.
Da ambience in da auditorium is great!! My first time!! Of course I felt very comfortable. It is like sitting in a cinema or theatre. Then I saw a familiar face. Aah.. Ashmi, Anugerah Skrin Semi-finalist was at one of da seats, quite close to where we (8 of da us >> HapyHadys) sat.
Seth and Anthony, although they are not malays BUT that didnt obstruct them from coming to a malay variety show to support THE MAN >> HADY MIRZA. Becoz they will always be there whenever Hady's there (roadshows or showcases). Now thats what I call GREAT SUPPORTERS of Hady Mirza.
Both Anthony and Seth enjoyed AB Sheikh's jokes.. We laughed out loud!! His jokes are super funny!!! Then came in da emotional part. Sinaran Hati is a charity program. I cried when there is this story about Siti (whoever) aged 24 cant work coz of her disabilities and her mum struggling to take care of her. Da story touched my heart so much that I cried. Well, I always cried whenever I watch shows that are very emotional. Sometimes if da dramas featured da actress cried, I also cry. I am very emotional. So I cried. I already told Seth before hand that if he saw me cry, dun get surprised. He understood but I forgot to tell Zari (calamarie from HapyHady) and she saw me cried and remark, "U cry?" I gave a smile and told her, "yeah..I'm very emotional type of person."
Gosh!! How embarassing man!! Pple see me cry!!! But what to do? I cant help it but to cry. I cant held back my tears.
Close to 9.50pm, a performance by HADY MIRZA!!! He sang Merpati!! There was a glitch at da last part of his performance. Well, all HapyHadys know da reason why there was a glitch. Hady's always like that. He always gets very nervous when performing on stage and tend to forget his lyrics. Dun worry, Hady. If u forget ur lyrics, we HapyHadys can be ur saviours!! We will sing for u!! LoL. Oh, Hady is as blur as me too.. Hahaha.. Yup, he admit it. He is indeed blur. I am blur too.. LoL.. Who else.. Yes, Seth and Dila too.. Sumtimes they can be very blur.. Hahaha.. Oopss..
P/S: I am pretty sure those of u at home will have notice that there was a slight glitch at da last part of Hady's performance last nite.
H for Hady.. Did u see this thing waving on TV? Hehe..
Oh yeah, while Hady was performing, he did wave at his fans didnt he? Well, he WASNT WAVING AT US.. There was this group of Hady fans from da other side of da auditorium and their screams are LOUDER than us so Hady's attention was focussed on them instead of us, da HapyHadys!! And Hady being a blur guy will think that they are da HapyHadys and NOT US!! NO!!! I did shout, "Hady!!!" so as to bring him to da attention of us, da HapyHadys. Sumhow, I shouted not loud enuff coz he always looked at da other direction!!! Aiyah.. Hady..why are u still very blur.. Sigh.. Ooopss..
P/S: I think we were being shown on TV. When I read da forum, a few HapyHadys wrote this, "I saw Ant, Fikq, noraries54, sv, calamarie, amyria and Seth." Alamak!! Really ah?!! Oh dear.. How come when I got back home, none of my family members mentioned it to me? Hmm...
After Hady's performance, there was even a louder scream for these three guys!! My favourite guys too!! Last performance for da show. Da guys are KHAIRIL YUSOF, FAUZIE LAILY and HYRUL ANUAR da Anugerah 2005 guys.. Hmm, how come Syed Azmir wasnt invited to da show? It looked kinda odd coz First plc winner (Hyrul) was there, 3rd plc winner (Fauzie) also there and 4th plc winner (KHAIRIL) was there but where's da 2nd plc winner? Aiyah.. dun bother la!! Heehehee.. OMG... What has happen to KHAIRIL's hair?!!!
10pm show was over. But we couldnt leave as yet coz Minister George Yeo went up to stage to take a few photos with da artistes. We have to respect his presence so we have to stay for a few more minutes.. While waiting I can see that Hady can interact very well with da 3 Anugerah 2005 guys. He even took a picture with them!! Cool..
10.10pm, one by one in rows and straight lines leave da auditorium. As we were leaving, (we took da lift) we saw Rafa'at Hamzah!! He smiled at us! I even said, "Hi" and he nodded and smiled.
As time is running fast, I need to get home. I hate this. I am already 23 and still, I have this stupid curfew!! I have to be home b4 11.30pm latest 11.45pm. If I reached home at exactly 12.05 midnite, I will be grounded. Yeah.. grounded!! Duh.. I really hate this. 23 years old being treated like 13 years old!! (Remember da HapyHadys gathering on 24 Nov? Da gathering was at Punggol. And guess what time I reached home? 11.57pm!!! Curfew time was 11.30pm!! So, I was grounded da following week. After work, I CANT GO TO MOS for HADY MIRZA's show case!! I have to be headed home becoz I reached home late that day! Sigh...)
So since I have to get home, I missed da OPPORTUNITY to take pictures with HADY MIRZA, KHAIRIL YUSOF, HYRUL ANUAR, FAUZIE LAILY, EFFENDY, SHAH ISKANDAR, NURUL AKHMAR, HUDA (my ex-junior from Informatics) and RAHIMAH RAHIM (da legendary Rahimah Rahim NOT da SI Finalist Rahimah Rahim).
Argh!!! Hate it.. I hate it..!! All thanks to my family for setting da curfew time!! If they didnt, I still have da chance to take pictures with them!! Argh!! Blame it on my family and da stupid curfew!!
On my way back, Seth being a gentleman and a bodyguard send me off to da bus stop. Da same bus stop where we alighted from bus 157 but I wasnt gonna take bus 157. Seth told me that there is a bus 165. And coincidently, he too will be taking bus 165 to Holland Village (thats where he stays).
Guess what time I reached home? 11.15pm!! Hooray I was way too early but if I were to stay a while longer for da picture taking with da Suria artiste, I might be still on time when reaching home.
Apart from all those happy news, there is a sad news I wished to share with u, ardent readers of my blog.
I received a call from Nazrul on 3rd February. He gave me a shocking and sad news. A former schoolmate of mine from Jin Tai Secondary, Mohd Faizal bin Sani passed away in a motorbike accident on 2nd February around 8pm or 9pm..

It wasnt my intention to job-hop after one year. But come to think of it, I want to explore more of the working world and make me think and behave maturely.
After working for 10 months in this law firm, I sumhow felt that I have to move on and worked elsewhere. No, IT WASNT BECAUSE OF DA OFFICE POLITICS, neither was it becoz of sufficient experience. It's becoz of da pay.
Hey, I KNOW EARNING $1600 is ALREADY ENUFF. But come to think of it, if u neva see ur money tree grow, u definitely wanna move on and seek for other job prospect. Why am I saying this?
Well, have u heard of AWS or even bonus? Every year end, u will receive ur monthly salary plus ur company's 1 month or 2 or 3 or 4 (depends on how many months da company wish to give to their staff).
Do I get that when working in this law firm? NOPE!! I was sumhow disappointed. U know how delighted I was last year upon hearing that I will get my VERY FIRST PERMANENT JOB ever? Although this law firm is da 5th company I have worked in, it is also MY FIRST PERMANENT job.
My 1st job was as a KFC crew. That was part time, while still studying full time. 2nd job, was at APS, I was on a temporary assignment. Da 3rd job was at KCAP. A contract part time job. I was given an hourly pay. And if I work, I will get paid. If I am on MC or on leave, I wont get paid. Plus, there is CPF deduction. I brought home less than $600 every month when working at KCAP. However, da advantage is, I have flexible working hours. My working hours are scheduled like a time table. Sumtimes I came to work in da morning, sumtimes after lunch. But I have to work not more than 5 hous UNLESS otherwise stated.
My last temporary job BEFORE securing this law firm job, was at NAS - National Archives of Singapore. I thank GOD for answering my prayers when I received a call from a lawyer (da boss of this law firm I currently works in - TM Dept) informing me that I was shortlisted to come for an interview.
And I got da job. Time passes by very fast and I am already working for 10 months. In December, sum of u will be thinking, "Wah, Maria.. Ur salary $1600 definitely for Dec bonus, u will bring home say, $4800" ( that is, my salary plus 2 months bonus)
HAHAHAHA... Like, I'd mentioned, there isnt such things as AWS and bonus in da law firm I am working for. Have u ever heard of 7 days bonus? No? Well, I DO... YES. This law firm I am unfortunately working for practise that. They gave quarter month (1 week = 7 days) bonus to their staff!!!
And also like I had mentioned, I wanna see my money tree grow. Bringing $400 extra on top of da $1600 (pathetic quarter month bonus plus my salary) isnt enuff for me. Can u imagine, if I were to work for another 2 years, other pple would have about $10K in their money tree now. But not for me coz I dun receive 2 or 3 months bonus.
Hence, I started sending out my resume after weeks of calculation. Yes. I do my own mathematics and accounts on how much will I have in my bank account after 31 December every year. I had always want da amount in my bank account to reach at least $3K (of coz THIS IS AFTER DEDUCTING EXPENSES SUCH AS HANDPHONE BILLS, INTERNET BILLS, SPCA GIRO DONATION, NKF GIRO DONATION and MY MONTHLY SCH FEES). If I were to work in this law firm for another 2 years, and after deducting for da above expenses, I dun think I will have at least $3K in my bank account - BECOZ DA LAW FIRM didnt provide their staff incentives such as bonuses and increment!
So, I wish to "get out" from here and seek elsewhere. I send out my resume onlines to various companies including other law firms. I know I should have wait till da year 2008 when I got myself that piece of paper with my name on it. With that piece of paper with my name on it, I can seek for better job offers - those with degree requirements - but I need to plan financially for myself. Other working pple who are studying part time still have some cash to spent with. How come I dun? So, I have to start planning. Da only way is to send out my resume and hopefully, 1 or few companies called me up.
Which it does happen. Next week, on Monday 5th February, I will be attending an interview. Da requirements for da position : Diploma and above, With/Without Experience. I am qualified and that's why they called me for an interview.
Well, dun get too excited.. It was ONLY an interview. They may or maynot call me again for another interview. I am keeping my finger cross for this.
Pardon? What company is that? Well, as da date draws near, I'll inform you. *smilez*
