Da pay is on hourly basis. Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8.00am to 5.30pm or 8.30am to 6.00pm. Oh, da pay is $5.40 per hour. Not bad. I dun EVEN CARE HOW MUCH. Like I’d said, as long as I earn $$ its betta than nothing. However upon hearing da salary, my grandma was kinda dissatisfied. She said, "Gaji tempat Jepun, lagi banyak. Kalau Jepun suruh kau kerja full time, tentu banyak gaji kau dari yg ini." Translate: Your salary at Kyocera Communication (a Japanese company), is higher ($7.50 per hour) although it is part time. If Kyocera wants u to work whole day or full time with same pay rate, Kyocera gives u higher pay. 2) Clementi Town Sec. Sch. Den, she mentioned tis, "Kesian Kakak. Kakak saja yg odd one out. Tak dpt first choice." Den, she laughed n laughed. Dun u find tat irritating?! Juz becoz both Khalid and her get to be posted to their first choice but i didnt? It wasnt my fault! 10 years ago, all my 6 choices of secondary sch. Yes, I can still remember! I dun bother 2remember my siblings'! Here they are: So, i didnt get first choice, i got 2nd choice. Tat was y my sis was being sarcastic at me. Neva mind..dia budak kecil ah..takpe..biarkan.. Hah!

Today, I went there for da schedule interview. Position: Temporary Conservation Assistant. Department: Archives Conservation Laboratory. Archives Conservation Laboratory - Conserves and preserves paper documents which have deteriorated due to physical wear and tear, acid content in paper or insect and fungal infestation.
Wow! Wat a tedious job, huh? Wat’s my job scope like? Well, as a Temporary Conservation Assistant, I have to be responsible for carrying out conservation processes on archival and library materials, as well as other private collections for its long-term preservation. I am required to carry out mechanical cleaning and treating insect infestations and mould growth, chemically treating degradations, repairing and binding of damaged archival and rare library materials. In addition, I have to assist in mounting of exhibitions and signcrafts and demonstrate conservation processes to visitors in the lab. It is also important to maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of both wet and dry-processing area.
*eyes rolling.* Oh no! Not da pay issue again.. Dratz.. Anyway, there are 6 candidates. I do not knw wat their qualifications are but I am keen in tis kinda job so I am now hoping tat I got tat job no matter how tedious. We must explore every job opportunities, am I right? Heh.
Actually, they are in need of pple. They want those who can start on 27 Dec (aft Christmas). However, I can only start aft I gave 7(seven) working days notice. My contract has end on 30th June 2005 but they renew my contract till further notice & I have no idea when. I assume its on 30 December and tat means, I can only give 7(seven) working days notice to Kyocera on 30th December and tat means I can only start tis new job latest by 9th January 2006. Hmm, can they wait? Or are they willing to wait? I forgot to tell tis to them. Dratz!
I will be keeping my finger cross coz they said, they will call me on 27th December to knw my decision (they asked me to consider) and when I can start work. One of them said, "Hope 2c u here again." Err, does tat mean I am wanted for da job?

Today is also the release of results to which secondary schools Primary 6 pupils will be posted to next year. After da interview, I accompanied my younger sis to Jin Tai Pri. From Canning Rise back to West Coast. Yup! My dad’s on leave for 2 days so, he gave me a ride to da Nat. Archives and den fetched me to fetch my younger sis @ home, den off we go to JTPS.
Atikah, my younger sis was over da moon when she got da results of which sec sch she is posted to. Her first choice >> Clementi Town Sec Sch and HOORAY! SHE GOT IT! SHE WAS POSTED TO CTSS!! She kept on repeating tis line in da car, "Nasib dpt Clementi Town," over & over again. Duh.

Rem I blog abt going for an interview on Nov 30 at DAS >> Dyslexia Association of Singapore as an assistant administrator cum trainer? Didnt get tat job. Received their email on 6th Dec telling me, I wasnt qualified for da next phase of recruitment (da 2nd interview)
My mum n grandma are beginning to be fed up with me. Go here, no luck. Go there, no luck. Luck in..? Well.. jobs! I am not looking for other jobs. I like da job here in Kyocera HOWEVER my mum said tat my job in Kyocera is part time. She wants me to have a PERMANENT job. Sigh..
I knw da difference between part time, temporary, contract and full time/permanent job. I dun really mind if i am employed to any of da above as long as i can work n earn $$ its gd enuff. But my mum n grandma insisted tat i go n look for permanent..
Tmr (22nd Dec) I have another interview. Its a temporary job. My mum is ok since its FULL DAY unlike my job in Kyocera which is HALF DAY. She "encouraged" me to go ahead wif da interview. Where's da place?
NAS >> NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF SINGAPORE. My mum was kinda over da moon coz National Archives is a government organisation. According to her, if pple work in government board, more benefits.. Sigh..
So, yeah..tmr will b going there 4 an interview at 9.30am. Hope tis interview turns out well. I knw its sad to leave Kyocera but if my mum wants me to get a permanent job due to higher pay n more benefits, I'll have to. I cant keep hearing her nagging n nagging. Da more she nags, da more I cant concentrate on my studies.. So, if tis interview turns out well..will my mum b elated?

Friendster.(http://www.friendster.com) is like a Friends Hall of Fame; a network of ur friends complete with profile, date of birth, personal interests & other kinds of personal particulars. It also gives u information of how many people are in ur network, how many people viewed ur profile & gives u a count of how many times ur page was viewed over da past couple of days or weeks.
True enough, Friendster is like one of those sites which gets u connected to people. For me, it's got me connected to my primary school friends and a kindergarten mate whom I've lost contact with for more than a decade. It's sweet to meet them again, all mature, good-looking people, pretty and sexy - i am referring to u: Farah aka Falala. *winkz*
Once u make urself available at da site, ur page is open to anyone in Friendster, unless u opted for a private page which is only viewable by friends u are directly connected to. (I did juz tat..dun ask me y :p)
Hmm..by selectin tat option, probable long lost friends couldn't properly identify u since the information disclosed on da page is limited.. (for those of u who r friendster members and not closely connected to me n trying to view my profile, u'll be experiencing tat.. hehe.. u cant view MY FULL PROFILE coz i set it as "private")
But wat happens when ur page is open to anyone? (if u didnt set it as 'private') You get strangers messaging u weird questions like "Are u single?" or "Are you Malay?" (since I used da name: Amyria) Da less daring ones would start the message with "Can I add u as friends?"
I suppose their definition of "friends" would only stretch as far a few short messages after which they'd add me. And then they go on to "It's more convenient if we could exchange handphone numbers bla bla bla..."
I shld have knwn better than to disclose such private information to them. I honestly can't see how a friendship could develop between us just after some simple messages or phone calls. For most of them who tried to get to know me, they obviously didn't know what to expect.
I tipped off one of them after he asked me pathetic questions like, "are u single", "u have any bf b4", "do u mind to have a younger guy for a boyfriend", "how do I dress when I go out" It kinda feel irritating doesn't it? He was kinda desperate! When i told him tat da purpose of me joining friendster is not to look for bf but to widen my circle of friends, he said something like, "Plz..give me a chance.. I dah lama tak dpt belaian dari seorang kekasih.. plz lah accept me as ur bf.." Duh.. Does he understand English??!
I told him off and BLOCKED him frm entering into my profile!!!! I dun entertain crappy guys who joined friendster in search for a gf instead of widening their clique of friends!
If u honestly want to be friends, then status - whether u single, in a relationship or married - shld be the last few things u should care about.
Sometimes, I really wonder wat are their reasons for adding me to their network. I honestly dun see da purpose of doing so when u dun keep in touch with them. I knw I dun. I only kept in touch wif those friends I knw.
To me, Friendster is no more than just an archive of my past & present friends. It may also be a place to pick up girls or guys or look for people who have da same interests as u, but it wld never be a place where true friendship blossoms.
It's all da same with friend-making sites. There's only so much u can tell by reading the personal information & viewing their pictures. But how can u tell that it is real?

I watched STAR AWARDS almost every year, which telecast LIVE in early December. Although, STAR AWARDS is an award show for da Chinese entertainment industry and da language spoken - Chinese, so wat?! Tat doesnt stop me frm watching. Yes, I dun understand wat they were talking abt but at least I can try to guess. As long as I see familiar faces (da actors and actresses) its definitely OK with me. The other 2 nominees; I forgot their names. However, they are not da winners. Da winner is one of them I've listed above : JESSICA LIU. BEST COMEDY PERFORMER oNE more nominee, I didnt get his name. Winner >> well, surprisingly.. Bryan Wong - tat cute guy with da baby face look. He's only 32 or 34 but he looks 22! BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS As usual, da name of other nominee, slipped off my mind. WINNER: Yvonne Lim BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR Winner: I have guess it correctly. I knw he can bag da award. He played da 3rd brother in Tong Xin Yuan. For those Chinese readers, after reading Tong Xin Yuan, U'll definitely knw who's da winner. U shld also knw who bag da award if u have watched da awards. The winner is none other than Cavin Soh. He plays da character: Zhou Daqiu in Potrait of Home 1 & 2. Adrian Pang, Yeow Wun Long, Terrence Cao & Pierre Png plays da role of his 1st brother (Zhou Dadi), 2nd Brother (Zhou Dashan), 4th brother (Lin Dahai) & 5th brother (Lin Dayang) respectively. There's another brother in da drama, da youngest one, Lin Dajiang. I didnt knw wat's his name. Can anyone tell me? Every year, there's a All Time Favourite Artiste award for both Male & Female. Last year, was won by Zoe Tay and cant remember da male winner. Tis year, da award go to Xie Shao Guang & Fann Wong. Shao Guang who wasnt in da award show will be quitting showbiz by next year, (tats wat I heard). There was only one award I missed watching it. I had to do a small 'business' in da Ladies and I was da only one watching it. I smsed my Chinese friends but they were all outside, didnt watch. Darn.. Can anyone tell me da nominees for Best Actress as well as da winner? BEST ACTOR I was hoping for Chen Han Wei to bag da award. Hey, it wasnt easy playing tat kind of role. If u'd watch tat drama (9pm), u knw wat I mean. Da moment I was waiting for, at da end of da show: TOP 10 MOST FAVOURITE MALE ARTISTE & TOP 10 MOST FAVOURITE FEMALE ARTISTE There are no nominations. Ok.. i'm here to update.. haa.. was busy to blog these few days..
Although he's a bother, He's My Brother
My mum went to see my bro's Sec 3 form teacher to know of y bro's results. Wat a shock! Da first in da family.. Coz neva ever in da family (relatives included of course on both sides >> maternal n paternal) retained..
YES!!! I repeat.. My bothersome bro has to retained SEC 3!! He only PASSED ONE subject! How pathetic isn't it? And tat subject is not even malay! Cant believe his malay is suckier than mine! He only passed English! oh, he passed English with a border line marks!
Shocking! Shocking! For mid-year examination results (May), he passed English too and his form teacher told my mum (in da previous Meet-The-Parents session) tat for end of year examination, Khalid has to only aim for 3 more subjects in addition to English (total 4) to pass and promote to Sec 4. He too had told da same to Khalid but it seems tat Khalid has been putting on deaf ears since then. If not, he shldn't be retaining. Oh well..
He reminded me when I was in Sec 3, 7 years ago . For Mid-Year Examinations, I flung. YES, I FLUNG! I was shocked as well coz in Sec 1 n 2, i was among da Top 20 students (not in one class but in all Normal Acad class) n I was too stressed out tat year. Well, how not to coz half of my Sec 3N1 class was formerly Express students! Yah! Those Sec 2 Express students demoted to Sec 3 Normal and filled half da class! Da rest of Sec 2 Normal students went to 3N2 n 3N3 with a quarter of da class formerly Express students (3N2) and 3 or 4 former Express students in 3N3.
So becoz of tat, I stressed out. Seeing those former Express students or shld i say classmates of mine, I worked hard so tat I can be among da Top juz like before. I neva knew it was tough! I FLUNG ALL SUBJECTS EXCEPT MALAY! I cant believe I can fail English n Maths! When I pondered upon my Sec 3 mid-year results, my form teacher being sarcastic told me, "If tis were to be ur End of Year Exam results, u can forget abt going to Sec 4." She said tat! HOW COULD SHE?! She shld give me encouragement n not sarcasm remarks such as tat!
My close n best friends, Rosliah n Faridah were shocked too upon knwing my results. Faridah was even shocker coz she knew tat she was weak in her studies n I had been da one guiding her.
Wats worse, those idiots, those troublemaker, gossip-mongers, bullies knew abt my pathetic Mid-year Exam results n guess wat? They were HAPPY!!! FCUK them!! All of them made fun of me n etc..! Becoz of tat, I told myself back den: I have to buck up n not going to let them be HAPPY!
And so, I buck up n worked hard. I tried to search where I had gone wrong. Analyze all da mistakes in my mid-year papers. Finally, I DID IT!!! I SHOWED TO THOSE FCUKING TROUBLEMAKERS, GOSSIP-MONGERS,BULLIES tat I wasnt going to let them be happy whilst me suffer! THEY WERE SHOCKED UPON HEARING MY END 0F YEAR RESULTS!
For End-of-year exams, I only fail Geography. I passed all subjects except Geography. My marks werent juz a 50 border line marks. NO. NO. More than tat. *evil grin*
For English, in da class of 3N1 alone, I was Top 10 becoz of my Essay writing (Paper 1-tat pulled my marks up coz I was totally a sucker for Paper 2 >> Comprehension section) For Maths, I was Top 20 in da class alone. Due to tat, I got promoted to SEC 4! N Levels!! :) It was my turn to be happy! Those troublemakers/gossip-mongers/bullies passed as well. But their results were da same for both exams. However, mine wasnt!
So, tat was my Sec 3 sch life. More to it thou but I'll rant bit by bit. Anyway,abt my bro, wat's he gonna do? Since he's now working part time in K.F.C Ginza branch since Jan this year, (maybe tat's da reason y he had to retain?) he told my mum tat he wished to continue working n abt studies..he juz kept quiet abt it. Sigh.. I guess he didnt like studying after all. But he's a guy! He has to study for da future! Muka dia tak ade malu ke kalau isteri dia berpelajaran tinggi daripada dia!

Phew! Finally, tat updating of website job scope is done! Lucky, they juz want to update it, juz add or delete da contents in da website.. DO NOT TOUCH da TEMPLATE. If they told me to revamp, err.. I'm lost for words.. Tis is a company's website..I cant 'cincai' n update it unlike my blog.
At da same time, when I was asked to work overtime up til 8pm (I ranted abt it b4) I was in a rush to do my Marketing of Services assignment which was due on 30th November, however I asked for a day's extension >> 1st December. I burn midnight oil every nite.. Slept at 2am, woke up at 7am n when in office, I dun have tis energy to work. Oh well. Glad tat is over. So, now I will go to work at da usual time >> 1pm to 5.30pm.
But abt assignment, it wasnt over as yet coz I have one more which I am starting to do it now >> Consumer Behaviour.
Guess has to stop here for now. My irritating sis wants to use da laptop. Oh wat a bother! Both younger sibling of mine r such bothersome, arent they?!
