Q. At any rate, thanks to Ken's advice to you to fall in love, you're probably gonna be snapped up soon by the local women's magazines as one of Singapore's hottest bachelors. A. Well, I was in Cleo's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors for 2004. (laughs) (really?! How come I neva knw?!! How to knw if I didnt even buy da mag!! LoL) What kind of qualities do I look for in a woman? I'm not particular as long as she's understanding. (hmm, pick me Hady!!! I am understanding... LoL) You have to give and take in a relationship. I had a few relationships before and when you don't want to give and take, it's different. I am a simple guy. Simple is good enough.

A. I think about it a lot. All the things I went through, all the things I learnt, people I met… from Day 1, there was a lot to take in and I'm glad I managed to take it in day by day, opening up and accepting things I didn't know before about myself. I’m getting to know myself better now. I know what I can do and what I’m capable of. I like to perform on stage. I love music. And I know that’s what I wanna do for a career.
Look out for Hady's debut album sometime in end October or early November (gonna get it for sure!! ) this year. With a friendly appeal almost similar to Taufik's, the head honchos have set the direction of Hady's musical career as going the way of mainstream pop, just like his predecessor. When asked on runner-up Jonathan's future, Ken declined to comment, preferring reporters to keep their focus and attention on the man of the night – Hady Mirza - a name which we, no doubt, will be hearing more of.

Da moment a colleague of mine, Kak ZA reached office and saw me at da photocopying machine, she tapped on my shoulder and said, "Maria...abg awak menang!! Suka tak?" (Maria, ur 'darling' won.. R u contented?) My response to her, "Yeay, yeay.. dia menang! suka-suka.. *ketawa*" (Hooray!! He won I am thrilled! *LOL*)
During lunch, since I am fasting, I stayed in office. I called Dira (coz last nite, it slipped off my mind to call her aft da results). We chat abt da results of Spore Idol of course..
She is supporter of both Hady and Jonathan and whoever wins, it doesnt matter to her although she was pining high hopes for Jonathan to win.. She told me tat Jonathan was so scrumptious during da performance and results show.. Aw, tats too bad Dira.. Ehehe.. and Ayu (if u r reading tis.. *winkz*)
Abt da October 24th concert, I wld really love to catch it BUT Y DA HECK DO THEY MAKE IT ON A HARI RAYA!!! First day of raya to be precise! Not much of Hady's malay fans and supporters will turn up coz they will be busy welcoming guests to their homes or busy visiting.. and dun they knw tat Taufik and Hady wld love to go visiting during first day of raya?!!!
Anyway, tickets are selling fast at S$98, S$68 and S$58.

Hady Mirza is our Singapore Idol !!!
HOORAY! U dun knw how I reacted when Gurmit Singh announced, "Ur Singapore Idol is HADY MIRZA!!" Da moment I heard tat proclaimation, I jumped out of da sofa, screaming and jumping for joy. Not only tat.. I RUN ROUND DA WHOLE LIVING ROOM!!! Wahahahaha.. LoL...
Then I looked out of da window and saw pple in their flats jumping and screaming. Da screams lasted for mins. I cld see tat Singapore Idol was able to connect with Singaporeans. If a show cld make my whole neighbourhood scream, it must be something.
Also, I called PW, Hanim and Ainn.. First, I called PW.. Da moment she picked up her phone, she was screeching with joy.. "PW, our Hady won!!!" PW exclaimed, "YES!!! HOORAY.." And we had other conversation as well too such as Taufik's launching his 2nd album soon and we are looking forward to getting it!!!!
Secondly, I called up Ainn.. Before I cld say, "Ainn!!! My Hady won!!" Ainn answered da phone with, "Happy rite? Ur 'bf' won" and gave a cheeky laugh. Ainn said, "C, I told u.. not to worry.. dun vote so much, for sure Hady will definitely win!! He is better performer than Jonathan.. so wat if he is a club singer? Being a club singer does not mean tat he CANT BE DA SINGAPORE IDOL! True?" I nodded my head. "Yes, Ainn.. its true.."
Third person I called, Hanim. Hanim too voted for more than 30 times..she has neva voted tis much b4.. and she was in such a relief tat her 30 over votes do not come to waste..
My smses and calls are not wasted aft all.. It was well worth it!! I voted for 60 over times!! (Calls + smses) YES!! NO KIDDING!!! I have neva voted for tis much.. For last season's, I voted for over 20 for Taufik but for tis season is 3 times more becoz I really wanna Hady to win.. becoz of speculations saying tat Hady being a malay wld not win tis season coz last season, Taufik had won... Crap!!!
Frm da performance last nite.. Hady outshined more than Jonathan.. Judges gave commendable comments to Hady compared to Jonathan.. When he sang, "You Give Me Wings", I sumhow can be connected to da song but when Jonathan sang it, it was juz like me listening to a radio..
Good for you, Hady.. U make us, Singaporeans proud.. Frm da piano show, I have psychic thots tat Hady Mirza will be da next Singapore Idol.. AND I AM RITE!!!

VOTE FOR HADY MIRZA!!!

2day I woke up around 7.. I did some chores first den I went to Causeway Pt becoz there is da FINAL SINGAPORE IDOL rdshow at Causeway Pt. Yeap..Of course i cant wait!! Tis is my FINAL CHANCE to get to c HADY MIRZA again LIFE in PERSON!!!
I reached Causeway Pt at about 1225pm becoz I am staying at Clementi (there's where Jonathan stays too BUT I have neva seen him ard there b4!!)
WOAH!!! WAT A HUGE CROWD!!! Damn!! I was searching for Dira.. She was late.. While waiting, I saw Ayu, Liza, her sis and a few of their friends.. Liza sis was finishing up their banner which says, "HADY, U'VE 5 SECONDS TO MAKE US BLUSH FOR THE LAST TIME!" Pretty creative.. Haha..
While chit-chatting with them, Dira arrived at 12.45pm.. But she wasnt very close to Ayu and da rest.. So was I, but I am OK with both sides.. Heh.. Anyway, guess where we wait for da idols? Haha!! We didnt wait for them at da stage at Level 1 Atrium.. Y?!! Da plc were very crowded!!! More crowded than da last week's 2 rdshows we'd (Dira and I) been.. Tis is officially da biggest crowd turnout ever for idol.. Maybe coz today is da FINAL Spore idol rdshow ever.. Hence, tat explains da crowd..
So, where we waited? At da EXIT!! Yes.. We 'kept an eye' on da security guards.. Dira had a feeling tat at one corner of an EXIT, there were lots of security guard so da idols might be coming frm there. So we headed off to da EXIT.. near da lift lobby..
Dira was RIGHT!!! There they were!! Our idols!! We saw Jonathan came in first followed by Hady!! Both of them were wearing specs!! They looked very cool in those specs!! We didnt get da chance to snap pics of them coz they were juz too fast!! Guess wat?!! My BEST moment ever man!!
Actually, I was saying, "Hady, Hi" but Hady sumhow didnt hear me!! :( However, Jonathan did hear da word, 'hi' and he said "Hi" to me and smiled at us (Dira and I)!! Dira did say 'Hi Jon!' and Jonathan replied, 'hi' and waved at her!!! ARGH!!! OMG!!! We were MELTING and jumping as we were very excited!!! We neva been tis ecstatic and joyful as compared to last week's rdshow!!
Den we hear da crowd screaming their lungs out because da idols appeared on stage!!! We had no idea where to stand coz we were alrdy too far away frm da stage.. Da idols were like dwarfs!! Really coz we were really at da very back!! Like I'd mentioned earlier.. Very crowded!!! U knw wat? Dira and I had a plan..
While da idols were busy having their signing session, we went back to where we started off and juz stayed there. Lucky I brought along SINGAPORE IDOL magazine (I bought it only yestday!!) and so while waiting for another BEST moment, we read da mag.. While reading, I was telling Dira, "Hady and I have a few in common.. Tis mag says, Hady always complaining abt fat issues.. So do I!!" Both of us laughed..
I continued again, "Hady wld like to have 3 kids one day.. So do I!! Haha.. Maybe two of us can get married!!" Again we laughed but tis time, is even louder compared to da first.. "Hady loves cats.. So DO I!!" At da same time we were comparing abt da differences Hady and I have.. Hady is afraid of heights.. Me? Well, I am only 50% afraid of height. Hady prefers da MRT to da bus.. I am da opposite!! Wahaha..
We kept laughing and chatting all da while..Ayu and da rest were waiting for da Singapore Idol bus tat will be fetching da idols.. Dira and I were waiting for da idols at da lift lobby, da same usual plc where we first started off with...
Suddenly, we saw security guards secluding da area.. Tis is it!! Da idols will be going back to their Spore Idol bus!! Also, there was a grp of teenagers standing rite in front of da EXIT door.. So Dira and I also stand by..
Before long, we heard da same grp of teenagers screaming!! Here COMES da IDOLS!!! I waved at Jonathan SINCE when I said Hi to Hady, Hady tak layan so I waved at Jonathan instead BUT U KNW WAT HAPPENS?!! Jonathan didnt notice tat I was waving at him!! Hady noticed tat I was waving and HADY WAVED BACK AT ME!!! Also, I think he recognized me frm last week's rdshow (remember, HADY PERSONALLY GAVE ME DA SINGAPORE IDOL POSTER?) and Hady SMILED and AT DA SAME TIME WAVED AT ME!! OMG!!! Terpikat 5 saat!! I was smittened by him for 5 secs!!! AaaaHHH!!!
Den Dira and I and of coz da teenage gals ran to da Spore Idol bus and kept waving and waving at da idols!! OMG Hady waved at all of us!!! Sum idiots behind me kept pushing me!!! I almost fall ok!! Aiyoh..A lot of pushing and shoving around!! There was tis gal rite beside me, shouting (as if Hady can hear it, coz he's alrdy in da bus!) "HADY, I LOVE YOU!" So bold?!! I cldnt be bothered la, if I do, I will look straight at her face and said, "EXCUSE ME, HADY'S MINE!!" Hahaha.. LoL.. but nah.. I dun do tat.. They are obsessed with Hady juz da way I am obsessed with him!! *thumbs up*
Really fortunate to get to meet HADY MIRZA and JONATHAN LEONG LIVE and IN PERSON for two consecutive weeks!!! Yup..I am on cloud nine!!
So did I get da tix? Unfortunately NO..Da queue was alrdy closed at 11AM!! I arrived at 1225pm!! So damn!! Didnt get da tix!! Its OK, I will be watching da FINALS at da comfort of my home.. I wanna be RITE IN FRONT OF DA TV!!!

I have been hearing rumours at work abt me being promoted?!! Unbelievably shocking!! Dun worry, I wont get my hopes too high.. It is only a rumour.. It may not be true.. Just cross ur fingers and hope for da final outcome..
Another rumours, da whole of Donaldson & Burkinshaw staffs knw tat B and J are now a couple.. So wat? They didnt do anything wrong.. BUT..
(conversation has been fully translated to English)
EA said: "When B said he wants to get to knw u, did he tell u he has a gf?"
Mbs said: "No."
EA replied: "sure?"
Mbs nodding head.
EA implied further, "sure? I dun wanna u be fooled. do u knw he has a gf?"
Mbs smiled at EA and replied, "Even if he has, y do I care? He is only my friend. So?"
EA got frustrated, "If he has a gf, he shldnt get to knw u?!"
Mbs surprised, "Y not? Cant sumone who has a gf/bf get to knw sumone else as friends?Doesnt mean tat when another gender wants to knw u, he/she wants to be ur other half. It cld be to gain more friendship too." There was silence. EA said, "but tell me honestly, when he wanna get to knw u, does he has a gf?" Again Mbs said, "No." EA interrogate Mbs further, "Do u knw tat he has a gf now? and do u knw who is his gf?"
Mbs tis time really give a cheeky laugh leaving EA in astonishment, "I knw. B's gf is J. When he wants to knw me, he was single. Aft knwing me, he has a gf coz I am da one who bring da two of them together. Any more questions?"
EA cld not believe wat she heard further probe, "U? U mean, u matchmake da 2of them?"
Mbs nodded. EA: "but y? u will be at a losing end! he likes u.. juz go for it y bother if other gals like him or not? y muz matchmake them?"
How exorbitant!!! Tis is too much.. Keep asking and asking like as if I am some sort of a criminal!!! I told her frm A to Z and yeah, she understood but .. she revert to me saying tat J did tat on purpose.. Huh?!!! How cld she?!!
EA told me tis, "Y is it aft she found out tat B wanna get to knw u tat she show her liking towards B? Y dun she showed it b4 u came to Donaldson? Isnt tat mean she is stealing ur happiness away frm u?"
Enuff is enuff. Stop blaming on J.. EA and I have a totally different personalities.. Maybe she will do wat she told me to do b4, 'grab tis chance, dun let him slip away'. But I wont.. Coz I believe in, 'there are many fishes in da pond' if I let 1 go, there wld be others out there who can give me a better future in da near future. Am I rite?
I have inform B and J of da office rumours (dun worry, I didnt tell J wat EA said abt her). B and J acted naturally as if nothing happen. Wat B said is true, "we didnt do anything wrong wat...so dun care wat they say lor." Yup..its true.. really true..

Today, I went to both Singapore Idol Roadshows at two places which is @ Plaza Singapura (outside McDonalds) & Cineleisure Orchard to meet da FINAL TWO idols (Hady Mirza and Jonathan Leong).
Da Plaza Singapura Roadshow is hosted by Justin Ang. Da Roadshow at Cineleisure Orchard is hosted by Daniel Ong. There were so many people turning up for the da roadshows. Both situations were chaotic and noisy.
At da Roadshow at Plaza Sing, I got myself a goody bag courtesy of CREATIVE!!! Justin Ang went on asking a lot of questions and he will pick da lucky ones who raised their hands to ans those questions! Yup, I was so-called da lucky ones!! Dira lah!! She always raised up MY hand.. and not her hand.. When I asked her y, she said, "I shy lah.." LoL!! Da question which I answered correctly, "Name me da two hosts of Singapore Idol". Duh.. Like, who doesnt knw da ans!!! They are of course, DANIEL ONG and GURMIT SINGH!!
However da Roadshow at Plaza Sing was cramped and crowded. It was difficult for me to see da idols and took photos of them as da crews and da securities involved in da event were blocking my view frm seeing them. When da idols began to throw stuffs to us, it became more cramped and squeezy. Da idols threw stuffs in different directions not frm near view and it is hard for me to get hold of da stuff as I was standing near to da stage. Tat stuff was SINGAPORE IDOL poster!! I shouted at da idols, "I want da poster" but I didnt get any.. No worries.. I will try my luck at Cineleisure Orchard later..
Da first 150 who turn up VERY early before da event starts @ 2p.m. will get free notebooks, posters, lanyards and serial coupons to meet da idols and ask for their autograph on da poster up on da stage. But out of da first 150 who turn up, da first 50 will get a pair of TICKETS TO DA FINALS!!! Again, more shouting and screaming of joy!! Ouch!! My ear drum will go bust!!
While da lucky 150 queuing up for their autograph signing session, me and Dira headed off to Cathay Cineleisure Orchard.. Who knws we might be da lucky 150 there.. And when we reached there aft 10 mins walk, we were surprised tat there were alrdy more than 200!!! Argh!! Dun worry, we managed to cut queue and be rite in front!! Woo-hoo!! (dun worry, we didnt get caught coz only da first 150 got their queue numbers, so those later than them..can stand anywhere we like.. We r da clever ones to stand in front!! LoL)
While waiting for da idols, Daniel Ong entertained da crowd.. He's still a funny man!! Tats y he is one of my fav DJs frm Perfect 10 98.7 FM!!
He talked to me!!! Coz I called for him!! Too noisy so he asked me, "I'm sorry, wat did u say again?" And I told him, "Can u pose? We wld like to take ur pic." And Daniel Ong went, "Pose?!! Ok" and tat was his pose!! LoL
Then, half an hour later, here comes da idols!!! I heard scream!! Shoutz and I Love You quotes in da crowd!! My god!! Da crowd went wild!! Those at da back kept pushing to da front.. Ouch!! Hey, dun u knw it hurts?!!
Da same thing as wat da idols did at Plaza Sing Rdshow.. To give out posters!!! Haahaa.. Tis time I GOT DA POSTER and who passed da poster TO ME..
Its HADY!! Yup!! He personally passed da posters to me!! He was looking directly at my direction where I was standing.. All da girls were shouting and screaming (so was I) , all wanting da poster.. I was at da front and I think he heard me said, "Hady..I want da poster, plz" and he gave da poster to me!! Argh!! Terpikat 5 sa'at aku (I was smittened by him for a few secs) LoL.. Damn!! Was too concentrating on his looks till I FORGOT to TAKE a Close up pic of him!! He was rite in FRONT OF ME!! DAMN!!
I related da above to Hanim, who cldnt make it today.. She said, "Ur wish has granted. Y didnt u say, 'Hady I luv u?' Haahaa". Huh? Wat? Err.. dun wan la.. Pai seh lah!! LoL
Da same thing continues.. signing session..tis time me and Dira waited coz Daniel Ong said, da guys will pose for a pic for us.. And they did!! My fav pic of all!!! Go on.. drool over da pics but HADY'S mine.. Haahaa.. LoL.. Juz kidding..
Next roadshow will be at CAUSEWAY POINT!! I will make sure I will be there.. I want to be as early as I can! I dun mind or care if I will not be da first 50 early birds (first 50 get free tickets to Finals) All I want is to be there..up close and personal with my Hady.. Get a very close up pic of him!! Get him to sign all da goodies I was given!! Waahaaa..

B, my colleague working in da Accounts Dept on da 15th floor;, we are more than just colleagues.. We are friends who shares not many of our personal life with each other. We have become very close but there is a line drawn between us. Remember my entry dated 31st August 2006? B4 B expressed his feelings for me, I suggest him to be with sumone else who likes him more than I do, be with sumone who is of da same race and religion as him so as not to stir any discords frm both sides of family.
A friend said to me me, "Maria, kau lepaskan B pada org lain.. sedangkan dia sukakan kau. Jgn jadi bangsa dan agama tu satu alasan."
NO. It ISNT becoz of race and religion. Da actual fact is, I am not ready for a relationship yet. I only wished to be in a relationship ONCE I am stable financially. So I better not get involve with B so much.
EA, another colleague of mine... Whenever she asked me, "How u and B getting along?" I will ALWAYS answer, "We are getting along fine.."
Like I told u.. everywhere we go, we tend to meet pple who LOVES TO POKE THEIR NOSES INTO PPLE'S BUSINESS!!! EA said, (translated to English coz SHE ALWAYS SPEAKS MALAY to me!!!) "Nowadays I seldom c u lunching out.. Always lunch in. Usually with him.. Wat happen?"
(also translated to English) "Nothing... Shld understand, he's busy. If he wants to lunch in at his desk without any disturbance.. so be it.. U knw, give space?" She nodded but I knw she wants to find out more..
When she knws tat B wants to get to knw me.. I assurred her tat me and B are friends BUT she always said to me, "Me and my bf start frm friends." So wat?! Tat is her LIFE.. Not MINE!!
B4 I end, there is a piece of good news to share with u, readers. B and J are officially together. :) Yes. They are.. (remember my entry dated 22nd August? I mentioned tat B and J's conversation made me suspicious? Yup, they were sorting things out between them. I even heard my name being mentioned but in whisper - dun forget I study Mandarin, I knw wat they were saying coz I understand sum of da words in their sentences and I assume muz be abt working things out) As their friend, I am happy for them. NO, I do not regret my decison. I knw tat watever decisions I made ALWAYS do me good.
P/S: So far only me, PW, Abg Sofian and his wife knws tat B and J are officially together becoz of me. J said thanks to me(in private when B wasnt with her) B, when he announced da news to me, looked kinda worried coz he was afraid I wil get upset.. Haha.. C'mon lah!! Of course I WONT. Instead, I shook hands with him and said, "Congratulations.." With a BIG sincere smile frm me..
But u shld have heard of office rumours and office politics.. So I bet sooner or later ALL da staffs, secretaries, paralegals and lawyers will knw tat B and J are an item.. But y muz they bother?! They are only dating, they didnt do anything wrong.. But I have tis feeling tat EA will come over to me and bombard me with questions aft questions . . . Coz she always so-called 'advise' me, "Walaupun dia cina, ambik aja lah.. Lelaki melayu skrg bukan boleh diharapakan sangat. Menyakitkan hati!" (Oh really? But y is tat her bf is frm Malaysia and he's malay? - da way she advise me is to tell me to juz go for it?!! Dia ingat aku desperate sangat ke sampai Cina pun aku tak tahan nak ambik jugak?!!)

My verdict to da two translations above: If I am desperate!! I wld alrdy have got myself a bf by forcing him to accept me in any way he cld!!! But I am not tat type OK!!! In fact, I am still 22 coming 23.. 28 or 29 also can get married.. If didnt get married, da better.. Haha..

However, aft yestday.. I am back to be owner of only two handphones!!! Yup.. 2 handphones..
1) MOTOROLA V220 (My mum is now using it)

Wat happen to NOKIA 6170?!!
My 'stupid' younger bro LOST da PHONE!!! He misplaced it sumwhere and when he wants to retrieve it frm da plc he left it, it wasnt there!!! How cld he be so careless!!! Argh!!!
I am planning to trade in all my 3 phones for NOKIA 6233 or NOKIA 6280.. Nokia 6170 will catch a high price for trading in. Motorola and Samsung dun fetch tat high price when trading in..
ARGH!!! I am so frustrated and angry!!! How cld he lost tat phone!!! Argh!!!! Since both my handphones are being used by my mum and sis..whose handphone I use? My bro!! We exchange handphones.. I used his and he used mine.. BUT .. sigh..
