A colleague has resigned 2day. I was not tat sad except tat i dread knwing new colleagues all over again. So i guess tis is wat we we call office politics? Gives me a thinking of how long will I survive here. Sigh...
R.I.P Bun (Bun was one of da stray cats in my neighbourhood area)
She died 2day at 11 am in the hospital. She had an accident on Sunday nite and was sent to da clinic on Monday. Vet said tat she had to undergone operation as she was badly hurt. Her spleen has to be operated.
// Spleen is an organ in an animal's body. I have neva heard of it b4. Tis is my first time. //
Yestday, she was OK, in stable operation but i guess she died during da operation. . . . When I received da news tis aftnoon frm my neighbour, Aunt Ivy.. I have to control my tears coz i was in da office. It was such a heartbreaking news. . . .
Bun, u shall b remembered always.. May U Rest in Peace..

My beloved younger sis mid-year exam results' position was 77 out of 82 students frm 3 classes of Normal Academic stream.... *evil laugh* I remember, my position was TOP 10 out of 78 or 79 students frm 2 classes of Normal Academic... *shaking my head* She failed her maths!!! Wat a humiliation... I passed my maths in Sec 1... Anyway, wateva it is..she is still my younger sis...
Juz wats wrong wif me taking 2 days leave??!!! As u knw.. I had examinations on Tues and Wed, so I took leave.. to think half of da staff will ask Y i took leave!!! Wats wrong wif them.. it is MY leave.. i am entitled to MY own leave!!! Muz they wanna knw everything.. If i wanna answered them, "none of ur business" i cant say tat as they are senior than me and around da same age as my mum (yup - i am referring to da gossip-mongers-. pls refer to my entry dated 17th May)
Nvm, juz kept quiet if they wish to be busybody and asked a lot of questions.. I learnt tat frm PW.. Speaking of PW... (continuing frm da entry dated 19th May)
2day me, PW, Ja and B had lunch together. As soon as I reached da lift lobby, aft saying 'hi' to PW and da rest and deciding on where to go for lunch, B came closer to talk to me . . . So, he is taking ACCA @ FTC. Hmm..maybe if I can ask him to teach/guide me in Business Finance >> another accounting subject besides Accounting in my Business Admin Marketing course.
During lunch, we managed to find some seats although it was really packed. Coincidently, he sat opposite me. I felt a little uneasy and cant really enjoy my nasi ayam coz B kept looking and smiled at me.. *blush*
Aft lunch, B didnt get da chance to talk to me coz maybe PW was da one talking to me da whole time. Back in da office, I had to go down to da 15th floor to ask one of da lawyer's secretary abt a certain file and coincidently, da secretary sat very near to da accounts dept . .
Yup, u had guessed it.. he caught a glimpse of me and I caught a glimpse of him and both of us smiled.

PW, my colleague frm Accounts asked me out for lunch along with 2 other pple frm tat dept, a few weeks ago. She actually had an intention.. ALAMAK!! Looks like a date man!!! Paiseh ah.. I am 16th floor staff and wat if one of them saw me and B having lunch together.. they will have all kinds of funny assumptions. I told her, "I'll think abt it." K, gtg... wanna have a nice great sleep and dream. Oh, for those of u who r reading tis, if u wanna knw.. there are NO malays in da Accounts Dept.. hence B, da guy who wishes to knw me is a non-malay.. A chinese guy as my secret admirer? OMG. I really cant believe it.. P/S: Oh today, we (Me and B) happen to meet at da lift. (Me frm 16th floor and him frm 15th floor). We smiled and once we were out of da lift, I was da one who started to talk to him. Den, he asked me questions.. hmm..
On 16th May, she asked me out for lunch again, but there were only 2 of us... As we were walking towards, GOLDEN SHOE FOOD CENTRE, she said to me, "Actually, B wants to get to knw u." I looked at her and she juz smiled.
She continued, "Tat time ah, he wants to talk to u but too shy and besides, i was da one who did most of da talking." I gave a quick smile.
And so... while having lunch till we went back to da office, she was trying to illicit information abt me (so tat she can pass da information to B). Being friendly, i answered every question truthfully.
B4 i continued, remember i told u abt office rumours? (read my entry dated 17 May) Da gossip-mongers? Lucky, i didnt let my boss knw tat i am still studying (for my degree - at nite). If not, definitely news will spread and I cant imagine further wat will they gonna say..
PW, B and another colleague (who went for lunch along on da 1st occasion) are taking a course (accounting - at FTC:- FINANCIAL TRAINING CENTRE?) I guess, there wasnt any harm letting da cat out of da bag to PW.
So i spilled da beans.. Yes, i only told her tat i am studying for my degree part time and i have ONE more year to go. She was very happy to hear tat. She asked if I mind her telling B abt it. I told her, "Sure, he's studying too. Oh juz make sure da news didnt spread to 16th floor." (Accounts Dept is at 15th floor).
"Dun worry, my lips are sealed." I nodded and smile at her. I trusted her coz she once worked at da 16th floor and she was very unlucky to sit in between da 2 experienced gossip-mongers. She cant take it and asked for a transfer to 15th floor not to do any clerical work but accounts administrative work as she knws some knwledge abt accounts.
So again, da illicitation (is there such a word?) continues.. Den she said, "maybe, i'll asked B to have lunch wif u together some time." I cldnt believe wat I heard.
"I beg ur pardon? Lunch together wif me, as in juz 2 of us, me and him?" PW nodded..

today is exactly 2 months.. 1 more month to go for probation and den i will have alternate sats OFF!!!
heard of office rumours? huh.. i was so damn UNLUCKY to be at da 16th floor instead of 15th floor coz staff on da 16th floor (mostly women) tend to be such a busybody and gossip around. once they knw one thing, they will spread. it is OK to spread if it is TRUE information. but u knw gossip-mongers, they love to enlighten their conversation by adding some 'spices' to it (make it more interesting but hurting). they may twist some words and it became RUMOURS.
i was surprised tat there are 2 pple who LOVES to gossip. they are middle-aged women.. i kept thinking, if i were to have a mum like tat, how will i react? they are not acting like middle-aged women, they are acting more like kids.. such childish behaviour..
for instance, my case.. for a few weeks, i was a 'target' for them. y? i went to see a few lawyers (juz to discuss abt work, as i dun wanna repeat any mistakes) to confirm if da procedure is correct. they (da gossip-mongers) assumed i was complaining abt certain pple.. *eyes rolling*. if lawyers came to look for me or call my extension to invite me over to their office, their assumption is.. i got scolded.. *eyes rolling* JUST WATS WRONG WIF THESE PPLE? i think each and every one of them have a sickening work attitude!!!
my principle: dun bother and be careful of wat i do or say as like i'd mentioned, they will spread around da whole office and eventually pple will find out tat one side of it is NOT true at all..
sigh..there are soooo mmuuuuccchhh to talk abt however, i will end here coz it is unimportant and not useful information to share in my blog.

Yesterday was da day. Da LIVE telecast of da GENERAL ELECTIONS 2006 result just rocks my socks. By now everyone will be aware of da election results:- Singapore's ruling party won a majority in parliamentary elections Saturday, signaling continuity in the city-state's mix of economic success, social stability and tight political controls. Final results showed Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's People's Action Party (PAP) winning 82 of 84 seats in Parliament, including 37 seats it captured automatically before the election because da opposition did not contest them. (One of them is WEST COAST GRC, where i am staying). Da results are also available on CNA's website as well as in da mainstream media. It is clear tat there has been a large downturn in support for da PAP. All da PAP incumbents were returned with reduced majorities. Tis includes PM Lee Hsien Loong, who was returned wif only 66% in his constituency of Ang Mo Kio, against a team comprising entirely of first-timers frm da WP (WORKERS' PARTY). As usual, taken from CNA: As all of u and me knw, da last 2 seats were won by da opposition. Chiam See Tong retains his seat in Potong Pasir GRC and Low Thia Kiang too retains his seat in Hougang GRC. Tis time round, they won by a much bigger margin as compared to da last GE in 2001. I kinda envied some friends and cousins of mine. They are first time voters for da GE 2006. Like, I'd said in an earlier paragraph, WEST COAST GRC is a walkover as no opposition wish to contest in them. Hence, tat means, I do not have da chance to vote.Maybe not yet. But wat if I am forever stuck at Clementi (WEST-COAST GRC) and all along it is gonna be a walkover for every election. . will I ever get da chance and da experience to vote? Sigh.. My cousin and Fadhil had cast their votes for SEMBAWANG GRC (Sembawang GRC was a walkover in GE 2001), Ayu had done her part for ANG MO KIO GRC (led by our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong), Fa for Pasir Ris- Punggol. I did sms her asking how was da experience.. I guess she wasnt much into politics, like me, because she answered, "Like tat la, nothing diff!" *smilez* Hmm.. I'm not sure if Nazrul had to vote or not. I msg him but I guess he's busy or couldnt be bothered to reply to my once in a while msgs.. He's staying in Bedok Reservoir, I guess, he could be casting his vote for JOO CHIAT GRC/EAST COAST GRC/ALJUNIED GRC/TAMPINES GRC... My other friends like Seri, Rosliah and ex-classmates/schmates staying in Clementi/West Coast, since its a walkover for WEST COAST GRC, they are not liable to vote. Ainn too does not need to vote as Holland-Bukit Timah, juz like WEST COAST GRC is a walkover all along. Faridah who has moved to Jurong West too did not require to vote. I think hers is under Hong Kah GRC and it is a walkover too!! Finally, Suresh, staying in Pandan Gardens.. Dr Tan Cheng Bok, MP for Ayer-Rajah GRC.. won da walkover. Suresh too, not require to vote. :) I believe wat my cousin said to me via sms last nite. I am still young. One fine day, there will be a chance for me to vote. INSYA-ALLAH.
"Singapore's ruling People's Action Party (PAP) has swept to a decisive victory in the 2006 General Election, winning 82 of the 84 seats.
It took 45 of the 47 seats contested on Saturday, in addition to the 37 - made up of seven Group Representation Constituencies - it secured on Nomination Day after they were unopposed.
It took all the seven contested GRCs - made up of 38 seats - in Ang Mo Kio, Aljunied, East Coast, Jalan Besar, Tampines, Pasir Ris-Punggol, Sembawang.
The PAP also won seven of the nine single seats - Bukit Panjang, Chua Chu Kang, Joo Chiat, MacPherson, Nee Soon Central, Nee Soon East and Yio Chu Kang.
The PAP obtained 66.6 percent of the total valid votes cast.
A total of 94% of the 1.22 million eligible voters cast their ballots"

I'm really frustrated. Just frustrated. My life is particularly in da state of boredom. If u were to ask how was things going for me, i wld juz say, nothing much... still very mundane!!!
I admit things r sorta looking up for me. University of Wales May exam is around da corner and I have little time to study!!
Ever since I had started my first ever PERMANENT job - a stressful one - in a law firm, i have minimal time to study. Since, I started working for da firm, in March, I am only left with 10 days leave. I have applied for 3 days leave on 15th May, 23rd May and 24th May..... NOT FOR STUDYING BUT TO TAKE THE EXAMS!! Tat means, I really have no preparations at all for da exams!! Oh GOD!! I dread i might fail.
P/S: For those pple out there, dun ever think tat i DO NOT KNW WAT DA HELL IS MUNDANE. YES, I KNW. I am substituting da word "ordinary" to mundane! Sigh..
