My grandmother used to tell me that if I am working with a lot of Chinese and very few malays, I don't have to worry. I did ask her the reason, why. Before she answered, let me tell u that my grandmother actually agreed if I wanna buy new clothes or whatever to look presentable. However, she told me not to always buy new clothes fearing that people will get envious of us. Which is true. I am experiencing it while working at ECSF. I am referring to the same minah lady - ever since she was transferred, she seems not to be happy with me BECAUSE I AM CLOSE with SOMEONE she dislikes - so stupid and childish. She is not happy with that someone is between her and that someone, why get me involved? Minahs are like that. They have that kind of thinking. That minah lady is already as fat as a Take a look at the photo below and tell me if the blouse looks revealing .... When I wore it, I don't feel funny. In fact, I feel very comfortable. I look different. Woo! Hahaha... My grandmother saw it too and she said the blouse is nice. My grandmother did not even mention if this blouse is too sexy or too revealing. HOW DARE THAT MINAH BITCH ABT MY DRESSING? That minah saw me wearing the above blouse and asked, "What are u wearing? Tak senonoh.. Ur grandmother didnt say anything?" I replied, "She didnt. Why?" Minah: DIDNT? GOSH.. This blouse u are wearing too revealing.. Buat malukan IFD dept ajer.." Not only that. She even get a few "supporters" and those "supporters" agreed with her! Perhaps, those "supporters" do not know what is fashion or what is style. I can forgive them coz they actually did not say anything abt my dressing AFTER THIS FCUKING MINAH told them abt it, then they maybe have no choice but to agree! So when those people already agreed with her, I can't shout at her, "U better look at urself in the mirror, u fat When I related that to a few other colleagues, all of them are on my side. All of them said, "hello.. looks who's talking... she says ur blouse is revealing?! first thing first, does she know WHAT IS REVEALING? next time tell her this, "'even if it is revealing, i am not like u who always wear the same thing every week."' Yes, she does. I think she only has 7 or 8 pieces of clothing in her wardrobe that explains why she always wears the same thing. Unlike me who was a goody-two-shoes, very plain looking at least is way much better than that minah. Before I know what is style, I have lots of clothings in my wardrobe. Now that I know a bit of what is style, the number clothings in my wardrobe remains the same. Why? I discard those that is so orbit and replace with stylish, stunning ones. *winks* I know one reason why that FATTY MINAH bitch abt my dressing. She can't accept the fact that I who was once a goody-two-shoes, average-looking, gal-next-door who was modestly dressed is now much more appealing, presentable and prettier than her (I am all along prettier than her, she's a FATTY MINAH TAKDER STYLE, how can she be prettier than me, pls la!) So, what my grandmother told me before was right. Now I understand why she sometimes nag whenever I bought new clothes (not because the clothes are expensive), she is afraid people (especially malays) will get jealous. It has happen! My grandmother told me that if I were to work in an environment with lots of malay colleagues, I have to be just plainly dress, dun over dress and if possible, wear the same thing over and over again so that the malay colleagues won't be jealous. My grandmother told me that "malays tends to get jealous of other people's dressing." Now I get it. Oh well, as long as I feel comfortable wearing that blouse and it is not revealing enuff and my grandmother did not say anything, I will still be wearing it! The more she said it is revealing, the more I am going to wear it. If she were to comment again, perhaps I can tell her this, "Well, it does not matter if it is revealing as long as I don't dress like a typical malay minahs. Their dressing sense makes me wanna puke!" Haha. Of coz I will say that in a nice way. Dia sindir aku, aku sindir dia balik. That minah has not seen how my younger sister dress up. If she did, she will faint coz my younger sister dress up better than me, my younger sister is like the younger version of Kak Olin. *winks*
I started work in 2004 and I do not have problems with people / colleagues envious of my dressing. Well, in 2004 I worked in APS PDA Services and I was the only staff. 1 staff and 1 boss.. In 2005 I worked with KCAP and I was the only malay staff. In 2006 to 2007 I worked with D & B and there were a few malay staffs but I don't have problems with them coz most of them are older than me so they don't care.
Now I am working in another firm since 17 December 2007. I have been dressing modestly and appropriately - u know my grandmother will scream if she saw me inappropriately dress. If she thinks my dressing is too sexy enuff, I am not allowed to leave the house. That explains why my wardrobe is full of long sleeves blouses, dress. Heeh.
Since January 2009, I have been learning how to improve myself - in dressing. So I learn bit by bit, one step at a time and I myself see the change in me. However, someone (a few rather), not pleased with the change. Like I have mentioned earlier, my grandmother will not allow me out of the house ; change to something more appropriate and modest. So I guess the blouse I wore on that day is ok. But wanna know what?swine.. definitely she does not have any dressing sense. And how dare she bitch about my dressing?!swine" hahahaha...
