Need I say more?
If u have been reading my blog, then u know what it means by "its official" :)
Anyway, as promised.. my weekend job. My weekend job (Saturday and Sunday and Public Holiday) is at a cafe. Haha.. Surprising huh? Org yg tak tau masak kerja di cafe?! Yes, surprising indeed BUT its a challenge for me. I thanked the makcik for hiring me and giving me the opportunity to learn cooking..
Which I clearly remembers this, ".... might as well go for cooking class . . . . ." I am actually going for cooking class BUT with a different approach. What that fellow meant by go for cooking class, is to PAY OUT MONEY to the relevant organisation or should be more precise, PAY FOR COOKING COURSE. However, I am learning cooking and I GOT PAID INSTEAD.. Hahaha.. Which one sounds better? The latter, isnt it? I dun need to fork out money to learn cooking.. I can just learn for free or learn and get paid!
Where's the cafe located? Well, its located at Takashimaya Shopping Centre. I was paid $4 per hour during probation period. After which, I'll be paid $5 per hour. Its from 10am to 6pm. I can say its kinda relaxing. The cafe did not have much pple coming in to order this and that so whenever I am free, I can sit down read papers and also watch television. Oh yes, the cafe has a television!
What kind of cooking I did there? Ah ha. This time I no longer kopek the sengkuang with my hands.. I used a small knife (and / or this piece of utensil that can easily tore off the skin of the carrot.. no idea what is it called.. )for that.
Oh, when I was under training, I was with the makcik tending the cafe. Now I am no longer under training.. I'm alone tending the cafe and its not boring.. there's tv and free food! Moreover, the staffs (counter staff and personal trainers) are mostly malays and they're friendly..Even the manager is malay and he is kelakar gila ah..
I did mention in facebook that I love my weekend jobs, got guys to drool at...? Well, yes I am working in a cafe and to be precise the name of the cafe is FITNESS CAFE. The whole organization is, TAKASHIMAYA FITNESS CLUB, formerly Fitness First (I think, or was it Fitness Plus?) so Takashimaya Fitness Club has their own gym, aerobic classes, swimming pool (which is next to the cafe!) and of course the cafe. =) And the food I have to prepare / cook must be healthy food.. mostly veggies and fruits..
Meals? Yup, I do provide meals on my own.. I mean I get my own food.. I can eat whatever I want over there! They do have sandwiches: Tuna sandwiches, chicken, egg mayo and butter with banana. So I can eat that.. I was taught on how to make those sandwiches so I also eat the same as what the members eat (sandwiches). Sometimes, the members can demand for other types of sandwiches.. Some want fried egg sandwiches, half boiled egg sanwiches. How? Of course I have to serve them still! I fried the egg la! They want boiled egg, I will boil the egg la.. Lucky they are patient enuff to wait else.. I dont know la.. Yes, it took me quite a while to boil the egg coz I somehow thinks the egg is not boiled yet haha..
I am now learning how to make chicken spaghetti (its one of the menu stated in the cafe) Thanks makcik! =D and now... here is what I have to say..
TAK PAYAH NAK GI KELAS MEMASAK UNTUK BELAJAR MASAK... SENDIRI BOLEH BELAJAR di RUMAH OR DI MANA MANA.. OF COURSE LA.. STUDIES ARE MORE IMPT.. FOCUS ON THAT FIRST THEN CAN DO OTHER THINGS.. SO WHY MUST BE SO SARCASTIC A FEW YEARS AGO SAYING, WHY MUST STUDY DEGREE MIGHT AS WELL GO FOR COOKING CLASS.. AND NOW MY PRAYERS HAS BEEN ANSWERED.. I GOT A PART TIME JOB (suitable timing) AND I HAVE TO COOK. I DUN MIND COZ I GOT PAID.. haha.. Dun have to pay to attend cooking lesson .. I got paid to learn cooking... Nyahaha..
P/S: Sesiapa yy terasa dgn pepatah di atas tu.. minta maaf lah nyer.. =P
Note: Just now, I mention members.. Yup.. only members of Takashimaya Fitness club can enter into the cafe. The cafe is not open to public.. Thats why its so relaxed! Got paid $4 or $5 per hour to relax, watch tv and read papers (when there's no customers / members la) and of coz got paid to learn cooking.. LoL
