Most of them asked (well, there are 119 staffs at ECSF.. so every day / every week I was asked the same question plus I am slowly making friends with each of them, if possible lah), "How old are you?" Honestly I answered, "Turning 25 in December this year."
The NEXT question is the POPULAR question. Soalan cepuk emas: "So got boyfriend?" Haahaha.. Thats the MOST OBVIOUS and POPULAR question that was being asked. LoL...
My answer? I smiled and proudly said, "No." They're not as busybodies as pple from D & B whereby they will pursue more questions such as 'Why' etc etc.. Instead...
"U're young and pretty.. How come still no boyfriend?" I chuckled, at the same time I am happy with the praises. So far no one has told me straight to my face that I am pretty.

There was once, this guy told me, "You have such a beautiful smile, guys who didnt see your smile are fcking stupid." Haaahaaa...Hmm... Unfortunately the guy who said that is not a Singaporean (a Caucasian) and already has a girlfriend (a Singaporean). Yeah.. He's not a Singaporean. I met him once at the airport. He was with his girlfriend. I know the girlfriend and he said that in front of his girlfriend! The girlfriend didnt mind. I guess he said that merely coz he was kinda attracted to my smile. *shrugs* Hey, I am not puji diri sendiri ok.. just to clarify lah in case some gundus out there who read this will say or write comments: U better look urself into the mirror... etc etc.. Also, there's someone in the family - my step dad also did praise me for my looks. He told my mum some 6 or 7 years ago, "Maria cantik.. Muka dia serba serbi boleh lah tahan.. Sayang..dia tak tau kerja dapur.. Apa gunanya cantik tapi satu kerja dapur pun tak tau.." HAHAHHAA... My step dad kata me cantik kan? Aku kan 'Puteri', seorang 'Puteri' mesti cantik rite? And 'Puteri' tak buat kerja di rumah kan? So? HAAHAHAH... Sorry for my crappiness here.. Apologies for that..

Finally, if my memories serves me correctly.. during my early years in secondary school...in sec one, after Term one.. A GIRL came up to me informing me that a senior of mine has a crush on me.. Nope.. he's not HB.. He was also HB's senior. I brushed it away thinking she was only pulling my leg. She was kinda surprised why I didnt get excited when hearing "a guy has a crush on me" unlike some gals (the minahs lah) who got so excited when they got to know this guy from this class likes them, that guy from that class wanna go steady with them... *eyes rolling* I told her that it was impossible.. I wasnt that pretty. She gave me a pinch on my cheeks.. *ouch* and said...
"Maria.. U have to believe in urself. Be positive. Dont say u're ugly or stupid. U will lose out in the end. U are indeed pretty with or withot ur glasses on. If I were a guy, I would have fall for u too.. Ur eyes make me fall for u.. Too bad I am a girl and dun worry I am not a lesbian. He has a crush on u coz u're cute.. ur voice is cute and he is also attracted to ur eyes.. Go see him, k?"

So, my eyes and my smile are attractive.. My body?? Nyahahahahaha... Anyway, did I go meet that guy? Nope! Malu lah.. I was still in Sec 1 ok, still have that decent-decent kinda look..and to be frank..I dun have a crush on him.. :P *BIG GRIN*
Psst.. I started having crushes only when I was in Sec 3.. and my friends know who is that guy... And that guy knew I had a crush on him.. *ouch* LoL..Those were the days... FYI: Having a crush and falling in love are two different things ok.. Having a crush is just has a liking only.. but falling in love is a more mature thing.. Nope.. I was still very young.. I didnt know what is LOVE..at that time.. =D

Lets continued.. I chuckled, and at the same time I am happy. I replied.. "Aiyah.. guys nowadays want more prettier and more younger..and also more sexier.." LoL.. Some of them laughed and shook their head. Also, there are some of them who 'accussed' me of being very choosy. "I think u have high expectations in a guy. MBS, just find one who is nice, good and can make u happy. I'm sure there is.."
FYI: There are about a few malay staffs of ECSF including myself who are 23, 24, 25 and 26 this year and some has gotten married and 1 will be getting married soon and guess what.. by end of year 2008.. ALL those who are in the age group of 23 to 26 are already married except for ONE: ME!!! And I AM PROUD OF IT!! Nyahahahaha...there's one malay colleague, of the same age as Hady, is still swinging single and she's proud of it.. The rest of the malay ladies? Well, some of coz are kakaks..dah kahwin while the remainder are younger than me and they're already have boyfriends / fiancees... nak dekat lah tu.. LoL
Hmm... she has a point there and I remembered Nis did left a comment regarding something similar to this. She too has her point there. What if the guy has a higher salary than us but a womanizer / jerk / bad? Although some guys didnt earn much but they are nice and good pple. Yes, I agree with that.
I would like to share something. Even my grandmother advised me: "kalau nak cari suami, cari yg tau masak sebab kau tak tau masak." HAHAHAHA... I replied... "Ckp senang..nak cari yg tau masak..susah tau nak dpt.. ada wanita tau masak tapi malas masak, so kalau boleh mereka lah grab tu lelaki yg tau masak..jadi perempuan yg tak tau masak cam Maria, rugi ah.. dah tak dpt.. lelaki yg tau masak semua dah kena 'pancing' oleh perempuan yg tau masak TAPI MALAS masak.." My grandmother senyum only.

In furtherance to my entry below (19 March 2008), I am not taking the part time offer. Neva mind, there are stil other better offers for me.. No use.. I dun mind committing for at least 4 months.. but I have to pay for the uniform! I worked at KFC and Carlton Hotel's Cafe Vic... they provide us with the uniforms.. with no charges at all!
In addition, the meeting went well. He's ok. Very lively and 'talkative'. He did most of the talking. He is working at this M1 shop located at West Mall.
*Sometimes, I hanged around at West Mall.. didnt notice him.. hahaha.. pple find me familiar but I dont find pple familiar.. A few occasions when a lady smiled and approached me saying hi and stuffs like that.. I just smiled and said hi back but in my mind was: Do I know her? Nyahaha.*.
Anyway, the best quality in him.. he knows how to handle his finances... Hmm... Maybe I can ask him to guide me on how to do that coz I have financial woes.. Hah!
