9 November >> I had a job interview at Ella Cheong Spruson & Ferguson (ECSF). I had to wait at the reception first. The receptionist ushered me to a room to wait for the interviewer. Before she closed the door, she stared at me and asked me this (I HATE IT U KNOW! WHY OH WHY?! THIS IS THE DUN KNOW NUMBER WHAT ALREADY!) "U a Filipino?"
I looked at her into the eye. I dun wish for any trouble, so I just smiled and answered, "No, I'm SINGAPOREAN." She just walked away.. DIDNT EVEN UTTERED A SINGLE SORRY! How rude..
Please read the following as proofs that it happen to me before; pple mistaken me as INDONESIAN (most common), FILIPINO (most common), Malaysian (once), Burmese (once!) PLEASE LAH! DO I L00K LIKE A FOREIGNER TO U?!! These pple need to go for eye test!

The interview at ECSF turned out OK, to me. They tested me. I passed both tests. They were impressed by my typing speed! Their only concern was my expected salary. I am currently drawing $1650 salary. My salary expected: Above $1650. They want to know the exact amount. "$1700 was what I told them." U know what?
"Still quite high. Anyway, can you tell me why u wanna leave Donaldson? They gave u such a high pay." (High pay! $1650 they said HIGH?! *slaps forehead*)
I still managed to say why I wanted to leave. They asked further, "Can you tell me then why it is there such a whopping increase in your salary from $1100 to $1600?" This I really dun know. The one who gave me the rise is ELK, he has left. What I told them, "Sorry, I really don't know. They informed me that I have been confirmed and my new salary will be notify to me soon. I was surprise myself when I received that confirmation letter."
The interview including the test took 2 hours. Wow such a long procedure... I will know the results only next week, 16th Nov. So, do u think I would take the job? If they can give me $1700 or $1650, I can accept. But if less than that i.e $1600 or $1500, I cant accept. I know I am inexperienced. I only have 1 year 8 months experience in law firm but I have been working for like 3 years. I have the working experience already. So I dun think expecting $1700 is too high...
I have got a part time job. Hey, I am not $$ face ok. I have my reasons why I intend to work part time. If u are my faithful readers, u jolly well know what has been happening. YES! Those scams! Ya Ya! I know I shldnt believe it. Anyway, the $$ used for those scams are from my grandma's and mum's. I need to repay them back. I resort to take a loan from GE to repay them and yet, it isnt enuff!
I have think it thoroughly. I will stop giving tuition because for 3 years, I have been tutoring the same student for cheap rates; my friends laughed at me. Duhz... What do u expect? Single mum! How to charge her more?! So, I will stop giving tuition and work part time on every Sat and Sun (THAT MEANS I CANT GO FOR ANY HADY or TAUFIK or any artiste's events!!). Where will I be working. That, I shall not disclosed yet.
To Zohrah, if u happen to read this, thanks for ur effort to enquire to ur manager, but I dun think I have the time to go there and err besides I have a part time offer already.. However, if I dun like the job, I come to u and asked if there's still vacant. Sheesh.. Can?
So, yesterday's event (Aliff Aziz's Autograph Signing Session is the last event I am attending for this year! *sob* *sad*)
