Today is 11th October 2007. Today marks my 1 yr anniversary joining the Hady Mirza Fan club also known as HapyHadys FC. Reason why I joined a fan club. Its pretty obvious! I LOVE AND SUPPORT HADY MIRZA.. When I mean LOVE, its love from a fan to an idol. Not more than that.. *dun get some mushy-mushy ideas k, nanti the four "wives" of Hady Mirza serang me tau! ;)* Wait.. now left "one" hehee. We were the limelight during the show! At 8pm ++ (before the show, which started at 8.30pm LIVE from Suria), we sumhow caught a glimpse of Hady and one of us, gave a HUGE scream! Then, everyone looked at our area. Hahaaha.. We stole the limelight. Then the man (a DJ from Warna or Ria?) who was the voice-over for any Suria LIVE program mentioned something and we understood it and said sumthing like, "Boleh.." Then the guy commented, "Pandai HapyHadys.." (he saw the banner we hanged at the MediaCorp). Upon hearing he mentioned our fanclub name, we clapped and as usual, screams la! Woo-hoo! We're as popular as Hady man!
Because of my love, admiration and support for Hady Mirza, I become a member HapyHadys officially as of 11th October 2006. I know I was kinda late to join; Hady Mirza was declare winner of Singapore Idol season 2 on 25th September 2006 and on 26th September 2006, the Fan Club was born. :)
On 14th Oct 2006, there was a Hype Up Roadshow. I didnt go there with HapyHadys as I was still new, although it did stated in the forum, that the HapyHadys can meet and together they shout for Hady. I know HapyHadys were present when Hady mentioned, ".... and to the HapyHadys.." and he waved at them. When I heard Hady mentioned HapyHadys, I said to Dira, who went with me, "Hey...he mention HapyHadys! His fan club! That means, I am one of them! But he didnt wave at our direction, he waved at the other direction." (pointing to that direction) Dira smiled.
Although I discover about the FC late, hey, its never too late to join the FC! Better late than never. I met quite a number of joyful, cheerful and fun HapyHadys. The first time I met a few HapyHadys was on 4th November 2006. There was this Manja autograph session. Hady was there for the autograph session. THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I MEET HIM FACE TO FACE!! I still remember vividly, when it was about my turn to have his autograph, I wanted to faint coz he was so damn dashing when he gave me that infectious smile of his. Drooling man!!! Oh, he was adorably cute too.. He sang the song Maria Maria by carlos Santana in one of the Singapore idol piano rounds, I assume he knows how to spell my name and yet, he could still asked, "How do I spell ur name?" Neva mind la, Hady.. for ur sake, I spell my name for u. I spelt out for him: M A R I A. Was so engrossed with his sweet baby face of his that it slipped off my mind to say this to him, "I am Amy Maria. Its A M Y M A R I A. The gal, who gave u the navy blue t-shirt with the words, GET ME OUT OF THE BALL PARK. at the Hype Up Rdshow at Jurong Point on 14th October." :D But its OK. He calls me Amy in the forum. *shakes booty*. Aiyah. Whether he calls me Amy or Amyria or Maria...he is still referring to me....
Then after the Manja autograph session, the same HapyHadys except one or two went off to sumwhere in Ang Mo Kio to catch Hady's performance.
After that day, I began to hook up more to the forum. One day neva log in to the forum to me is like 1 yr! Haha.. Get to know more pple. Get to pantun (although my pantun sungguh lah karat ) in the forum. On 24th November 2006, was the day I went for the gathering. I was overwhelmed by the number of HapyHadys attending. I was really surprised that although they came from all over Singapore, and they do not know one another, they're very sociable and friendly with one another. Me? I admit that I wasnt that sociable but that does not mean I am unfriendly or sombong. I still smile and talk. If u know me more as in always meet up everyday (like being in same school, same class, or being colleagues), then u will see the other chirpy, talkative and social side of me. :) That explains why my blog entries are pretty long-winded...coz I "talk" too much. Heh.
The only thing I felt uneasy was, 24th November 2006 falls on the same week, my grandfather passed away. I was having this mixed feelings. Half of me wanting to go straight home after work to accompany my grandmother, half of me wanting to go and have fun and meet more pple. I decided for the latter and I promised my grandmother that I'll be back home before 12 midnite.
Which I did! According to my wrist watch, it was 11.57.59 PM, but according to the clock on the wall, its 12.02 AM!! Late by 2 mins and she nagged and nagged and nagged. Her nagging is not the normal nagging ok, her nagging sumtimes can be abusive coz she hurled abusive words like, err, "Kau nak jadi perempuan sial ker balik sampai 12 mlm! blah blah blah!" Nasib baik tak turn into a pumpkin, like the fairy tale in Cinderella!
// Well, its my fault too. I should have took a cab. On that day, I didnt bring much cash with me, I only have like $14 and I dun think its enuff for a cab ride from Punggol to clementi. I tried to find for an ATM machine, no ATM machine anywhere nearby. I know I should withdraw some cash before going to the gathering. Hey, it didnt occur to me that I'll be late. //
I am already accustomed to her naggings. Biarkan ajer.. Org tua is like that.. But sumhow I envy some girls.. their grandparents and/or parents really give them the freedom and as long as they are back home the next morning, is fine. Sum of my gal friends did went home at 4 plus in the morning.. Takde ape2 pun! Tak kena marah tak kena maki.. How I wish I can be like them. Well, just to experience how it feels like to be home at the wee hours in the morning.. I know that impossible. Just look at my situation. I reached home at the stroke of midnite, dah kena maki hamun. *shakes head*
Because I reached home at 11.57.59 PM that day, (but to my grandmother, its 2 mins past 12 midnite,) she grounded me! (she still treat me like a small kid - to her, I am always a small kid in her eyes!) NO MORE HADY for the next two to three weeks! :( Thats explains why I wasnt there during Hady's album showcase at MOS on 2nd December, and on LIME Birthday Bash on the 10th December. :'(
P/S: I wasted $15 for the stamp collection of Hady. Coz in order to get free passes to MOs, we have to present the album plus the stamp we bought from Singapore post. Its OK..I buy anything for the sake of Hady. :D
But that didnt deter me for being inactive as a HapyHady! I still log in to the forum to find out the reviews from different HapyHadys about the MOS showcase, LIME Birthday bash etcetra. While reading the reviews, I was like, "Argh.. How I wish I am allowed to be there. If only I could turn back time."
Hady's 27th birthday was on 28th January 2007. The HapyHadys planned to celebrate a special birthday for him. Rehearsals had started in December 2006. Although, the three week groundment is up, I am unable to attend.. Reason: My exams. My exams are always in the month of January, May and September. So in December, I have to be prepared for my exams. So I didnt make myself present for the rehearsals, although I know the wordings to the song. :D I was told should I decided to attend, I have to memorize the lyrics by hard. Heh.
There were 2 rehearsals. One in December and the other in early January and the real birthday bash for Hady was on 3rd February 2007. I have already make myself absent for the first rehearsal. When I read from the forum that ehem Ad's brother will be attending the second rehearsal, I really, really wanna go but too bad I cant coz my exams was just the following week. What timing.. Its OK.. I always bump into him at Raffles Place.. That was before knowing he's Ad's brother. After I found out that he's Ad's bro, I hope that every Mon to Fri I get to bump into him. Haha.. Which it frequently does happens. :D Oopsie.. dun talk much abt that la.. *winkz*. Let's continue...
For almost 2 months, didnt get to see Hady.. I finally get to see him on 2nd February 2007. I managed to answer the question post at the forum correctly and got myself a free ticket (worth $20 each) for Sinaran Hati. Not many HapyHadys attended. Of coz, there were these 3 guys who are always present >> Ant, Seth and Fikq, SV, Kak Nora, myself and Zarifah (think so, thats her name - her username in forum is caramel). Because I have to rush home (as usual la), I didnt get to take a group pic of Hady and the HapyHadys who attended the Sinaran Hati. :( sumtimes having ur nenek staying with you can be annoying but for my case it is forever annoying coz my grandmother has been taking care of me since I was 14 days old, so the bond is there, cant help it....
The next day was 3rd February >> the date set for the Birthday bash celebration of Hady Mirza. Unfortunately, I didnt register myself for the bash, which the date line was on 26th January 2007 (I think). Because the parent of the student I tutored actually scheduled the tuition on 3rd February and on 30th January, the parent called to postpone the tuition to Sunday, 4th February! DO U KNOW how hearthbroken I was when I received that news! No, not becoz I cant teach tuition on that day... Because I have to teach tuition on that day, that I forego my chance to celebrate my idol's first birthday bash celebration with his fans.. Most of his fans were there except for me! I almost wanna break down and cry... But what's done cannot be undone. Lucky, I attended Sinaran Hati, the day before.. and I pass the present to Ant to pass to Hady on 3rd February.. :) (which I bought at the 11th hour)
On the actual birthday bash, I couldnt even concentrate on the things I do. I kept pacing up and down like a worried person. My grandmother was baffled with my behaviour but she didnt ask. Lucky, my two younger siblings werent around. If not, they will sure keep asking me questions why I was pacing up and down.. My parents were working.. So while pacing up and down, I kept looking at the time. I was waiting for night time coz by night time, each and every HapyHady who were present would post reviews, videos, and pics..in the forum. Thanks Zohrah (Ziggy Zesto) for the pics..u know which pics I am referring to..not pics of Hady but the pics of [u know who lah] that u took and gladly pass the pics to me. Thank u... (although it was taken from afar..nvm.. asalkan ada.. Hahaha.. *winkz*) Thanks to adik Yuma and Yaseer for the pics too (Hady's pics..)
On 24th March 2007, Hady was the judge for TEEN STAR organized by South West CDC. Of coz, when there's Hady.. there's HAPYHADYS.. I cant be there. Donaldson had their annual Dinner and Dance and since I neva experience how was it like to be in Dinner and Dance, I decided to attend my company's dinner and dance instead. What timing! The HapyHadys were having fun cheering not for Hady but to the contestants.. The winner is the younger sister of Aliff Aziz. Aliff Aziz won second. Later on, Aliff Aziz participated in Anugerah 2007 and emerged Champion. *thumbsup*
6th April 2007 - Muzika Extravanganza featuring both Singapore and Malaysia artiste. For the second time, I went to MediaCorp studios to watch the program LIVE. While waiting at the reception, one of the HapyHadys caught a glimpse of Aliff (after he won Teen Star, before participating in Anugerah). He seemed a friendly chap. We took a group pic with him. Yes, I was in the pic but since I had not own a digicam yet, I cant post the pic here. The pic was taken with one of the HapyHadys' (I dun know whose) digicam.
1st May 2007 - Keep the Heritage Alive! It took me two weeks to persuade my grandma to go for this one coz I have to pay $25 for the event. $25 to see 3 guys >> worth it! 3 guys: The host, Suhaimi Yusof, the performers: Hady Mirza and Taufik Batisah! So almost near the closing date to make the payment, I send an email telling the admins and the mods that I was going to the event and will make the payment required.
Both Taufik and Hady looked HOT! HOT! HOT! Both of them didnt really button their shirts.. *evil smile* and that makes them MORE HOT!!! and HUNKY!! Congratulations for Zohrah winning the second prize. Taufik call for the number, Hady passed her the prize. She got to take a pic with both the idols. How I envy you! My number miss lah if not, I would also get my chance..
P/S: Err, although I am in the fanclub, I neva have the opportunity to have a solo pic taken with me and Hady.. Its OK. My time will come in the future.. :D
On 27th May 2007, we have our second gathering but this time is abit sporty. Yes. The gathering was more known as: Street Soccer Cum Badminton. Place? Very near to Red Hill MRT! Just 2 to 3 mins walk away! Did I attend? Duhz.. No! Reason as usual: Have to teach tuition but as usual.. TUITION CANCELLED! The student was sick so the mother called me to cancel the tuition! ARgh!! Grr!!! Why didnt tell me earlier?!
17th June 2007, there was this Splash of Colours Family Day carnival at Singapore Discovery Centre. 3 idols were there for the event: Taufik, Jonathan and Hady. Didnt go for Taufik's as his was scheduled in the morning at about 9am. 9am!! Why so early?!! So we went for Jonathan's and Hady's instead. As usual, when we saw Hady coming to the stage, we were screaming and shouting and cheering loudly for H A D Y. He looked cute la in that beanie cap. :D
23rd June 2007 : Exemplary Mothers' Award 2007 at Hotel Rendevous. (Or was it at Hotel Ritz Carlton?). I had a mixed feeling whether to attend this event or not. Because the price: $70! Rather steep for me to fork out just to watch my idols, Hady Mirza and Taufik Batisah. Sighz.. So I have to disappoint myself and didnt attend for that event.
30th September 2007 - President Star Charity. The HapyHadys went to MediaCorp to catch it LIVE because HADY will be performing a segment on SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER along with another idol of mine... DAREN TAN!! Hady in turquise blue and Daren in my fav colour: RED! The only disappointment is, I believe Daren was lip-synching. Hady, as usual was spectacular! He did a great rendition of "You keep me dancing"? Was that the song?
On 6th October 2007, like I'd mentioned previously, went to the LIVE THE DREAM Jurong Point Rdshow with 3 to 4 HapyHadys.. Hey, we may be HapyHadys but that do not mean that we only support Hady.. We support some guys as well.. *winkz* (ARGH!! REVALINA OUT?! ROSS!! I cant get to see u in tv now..)
So thats basically my 1 yr journey as a HapyHady.. Though, I didnt participate in most events, the memories will never be erase from my memory. I also have to promise myself to attend any Hady's events and/or HapyHadys gathering. I know, life is unpredictable. I do not know what will happen in the near future. If I promise I will go to every single event, then sudenly at the last min, something came up, I cant attend... How.. ? So, the best thing is not to make any promises for now. If there's an event, I will check with my schedule and state my availability.
