The British undergraduate degree classification system is a grading scheme for undergraduate degrees (bachelor's degree and master's degrees) in United Kingdom.
The degree classification for University of Wales program in BSc (Hons) Business Administration, are as follows:
First class Honours
(Above 70%)
Second class Upper Honours
(60% to 69%... Think so... :X)
Second class Lower Honours
(51% to 59%? I think...)
Third class Honours
(rather difficult to obtain because the candidate must consistently hit a "bullseye" of between approximately 45% and 50% in each separate part of the final examination)
Pass (above 40% below 45% - 40 to 44 lah!)
Based on my results, (left 3: STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS FINANCE and DISSERTATION more to go) I guess I am either in third class or second class lower. But if I worked hard for my next 3 papers, that may help to pull up the marks, I will be in either second class lower or second class upper. It is rather impossible to obtain first class honours. Only smart alecks can.. Hehee.
10th Sept 2007 >> I had my Strategic Management exam. It was my second attempt. My first attempt was in January this year. In March, I received a sad and heartbreaking news. I failed Strategic Management. I took it again (after paying $160 INCLUSIVE of GST) for the September exams..
To my dismay, the Strategic Management paper WAS TOUGHER THAN BEFORE?!!! My mark was 32 for my January exam. I dun think I can scored 40 for the second time round.. :( I guess I have to RETAKE the paper again FOR the third time!!! .... ..... ..... .... ..... .... .... .... .... ..... .... ....
Instead of completing my degree in March 2008 (January 2008's exam results released in March 2008), I have to complete it in May or Sept 2008 (July 2008 and November 2008 exam results respectively)! And that would mean . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
ANOTHER YEAR IN DONALDSON!!! I relate it to B... I was still brooding over it and yet instead of cheering me up, he angered me! He commented, "Stay another year in donaldson lor.." *eyes rolling*
However, I heard from the Head of UOW (Distant learning - business), that undergraduates can appeal only up to 2 subjects to graduate. Means that, if you have 2 subjects which you keep failing (cannot score 40), the lecturers can appeal to the Head and the Head will send the appeals to the UK and it will take 2 months to process.. If it is successful >> HOORAY!! If it isnt, same thing.. we have to retake the papers until we score a 40.
Sigh...If thats the case.. then my dream of getting a degree before I turned 25 will it come true..... Hmm....
