Well, I am not really blogging abt his birthday celebration. I am blogging abt mine. Heh.
7 December 2006 was my 23rd birthday.
It was on Thursday. I received lots of birthday smses and I was gladdened that da HapyHadys even wished me "Happy Birthday" in da forum (www.hady-mirza.com/forum). In addition to that, pple still wished me "Happy Birthday" in friendster. They gave a testimonial cum birthday wish.
Thank you to those who have done that. Really made my day that day. *smilez*
On that same day too, I received presents. Presents from PW, B and J of Accounts Department. I was surprised that they gave me a present each for my brithday. I hardly know them. We are just colleagues. Thanks PW, B and J.
They made my day too >> NJ from my department gave me a pandan cake. I ate it. Hmm, very sweet, creamy and nice.
Since my birthday happens on a stressful working day, B and J decided to go for a KTV session on Sat, 9th December 2006.
We went to da same PartyWorld KTV as da one we went to on 24th June 2006. (Pls read my June 2006 archives for those first time readers). This time, instead of 6 of us, there were only 3 of us. I tried asking most of my friends.. They had to work, very shy, had something on etcetra. Its OK.. There's always another day.
So, yesterday whole day was spent KTV-ing and pooling. J started to sing a song from Air Supply. I asked B to select Jay Chou's songs for me (coz I didnt know da chinese characters for >> An Jing and Kai Bu Liao Kou yet) These are da only songs I can memorize da lyrics and hence would like to challenge myself by singing it WITHOUT looking at a piece of paper with da lyrics in Hanyin Pinyin.
I did just that. YES!!! I have improved!!! I sang those two songs in minus one version (coz B thought that I cant read da characters and I didnt bring da Hanyin Pinyin lyrics so he had wanted to select singer version but I told him otherwise, I wanted to try.) And yes, I did it! Although, I still cant read most of da chinese characters (I can recognize only a few) in both songs (An Jing - Silent and Kai Bu Liao Kou - Cant Open Mouth), I am able to sing it coz I memorize da lyrics by heart. I have an mp3 player and I bring my mp3 player to work everyday for me to listen to songs and in my mp3 player were da songs of Tong Hua (Guang Liang) , An Jing, Jie Kou, Kai Bu Liao Kou, (Jay Chou) Wo Nan Guo (5566) and JJ Lin's song kept playing and repeating so thats explain how and y I can memorize da lyrics.
Other songs I sang during da KTV: TENDA BIRU (Desy Rathnasari-Malay/Indon), SAY IT ISNT SO (Gareth Gates), LUCKY, EMAIL MY HEART (Britney Spears), MARIA (Blondie), I'M WITH YOU (Avril Lavigne), VIVA FOREVER, 2 BECOME 1 (Spices Girls), SHAPE OF MY HEART (Backstreet Boys), THIS I PROMISE YOU (N Sync), LOVE OF A LIFETIME (Firehouse), ETERNAL FLAME (Atomic Kitten), SEASONS IN THE SUN, FOOL AGAIN, IF I LET U GO (Westlife), TOP OF THE WORLD (Carpenters), NEVER HAD A DREAM COME TRUE (S Club 7- sing with J) and there isn't any time left for me and B to duet and sing SHAN HU HAI (Jay Chou and Lara). *sulky face*
Too bad, there isnt any Hady Mirza's songs.. LoL. If they are, I bet I am going to sing my heart out on What's Left, Merpati and of course You Give Me Wings.
