Nah! Still hadnt promoted to Full time/permanent! Me still working part time. But my contract has renewed!! For another 3 to 6 months! Plus.. I WONT B WORKING IN SALES AND MARKETING DEPT anymore!! My new department is...
TECHNICAL DIVISION.
Yup! U read it right! "Technical" Division. No need to have ur jaws wide opened! Nothing to be shocked off! Coz even when i was in Sales and Marketing dept, I helped a lil for Technical dept.
Guess, with effect frm today, my job is MORE than wat i always helped out. Alhamdullilah. Thank God for tis. I knw mine still is part time. But in my opinion, if i were to look for a better prospect out there..i think is easier, coz in one company, i worked for two departments. *Nodding head*
I was told tat i did my job very well when i was assisting the technical division, so they requested me to be shifted over to their department. I also did a good job answering the customers calls but i guess, i have more than enuff experience, so Sales & Marketing dept shift me to Technical Division. So, I AM NOT INVOLVE IN CUSTOMERS CALLS, Advertising Strategy and watever da Sales & Marketing did anymore!
Speaking of customer calls. I kinda like tat job. COz i dun have to c da customers' face - only tok on da phone so i tend to communicate well. It will be Very different if it is walk-in customers - c face to face. I have no idea y i have tis habit of not being very outspoken.
Sumtimes, i kinda scared to ans customers calls esp frm guys. It has happen to me A LOT OF TIMES! To be in a customer service assistant (on phone) u muz have a sweet n pleasant voice. I think i do..if not, y da heck they hired me on 13th December last year for? Becoz of tat qualities (sweet n pleasant), i tend to have cheeky customers asking more personal things. There was once tis customer asked for my number. He said, "Ur voice so sweet. U muz b a sweet lady too. Can I have ur no?" I did give him da no. RELAX! NOT MY NUMBER BUT MY MUM'S. Wahaha..
He did call. I told my mum b4 hand. If there was any phone calls looking for "Maria", tell da person >> Wrong No. As simple. My mum's supportive. She didnt ask much. Hooray!
Another customer, i think a younger one. But older than me. He called to enquire abt our WebWalkers contents. I told him. Then he asked if i was malay. I said, yeah. He asked how old i was. I told him in my early twenties. He insisted me on giving him a perfect number but i told him patiently but firm, "sorry we can only ans calls pertaining to customers' queries. We cant ans anything else." I thot he was ok aft i said tat but, he went on, "Ok, u got my number rite?" (Of coz - for record purposes only!) I told him, "yeah". He continued, "if u r free, u call me, ok?" I juz said, "Ok, sure." But he was doubtful. He went on: "Will u or will u not call?"
Wat did i do? I juz put down da phone. I told tis to da person whom i have to report to every day for work n for completion of task. She said, i DID da RIGHT thing! It happened to her b4 n i have no idea how she handled it. *Dun mess wif me - as if!*
So, now i am shifted to Technical Division. I dun have to worry abt customers calls! Also, 2 months ago, there was tis customer who doesnt even knw his bloody Nokia phone! He said, he was using NOKIA 6101i. No such phone. Nokia 6101 will be out only in late July. But he said, "tis is old phone. Black colour." I have guessed it correctly. I told him, "NOKIA 6610i."
He dared to argue! He said, "NO. ITS 6101i." I asked him more questions like, is it a flip flop phone? New? How it look like. He answered, "Not new. It has radio and camera. Not da white one. Its black. Looks like 7250i but its not. "
Like I'd said, its NOKIA 6610i. He bloody hell still thinks >> NOKIA 6101i. He said, "NO! its 6101i!!" Forget it! I cant argue anymore. I transfered him to my boss. And he actually admitted tat his phone is really NOKIA 6610i. Try to play dirty games wif me is it?!
Hmm.. gtg.. Tmr is my second day at my new dept. Still have more things to learn. And da person whom I reported to while i was in Sales & Marketing dept said tis, "Do ur job well, juz like u did in Sales & Marketing n who knws u will get a permanent position here."
Yes, I will. I will be patient. Coz patience will be rewarded. Who knws if i am being patient enuff wif da job tat is only part time, i will be rewarded by getting a permanent position or promoted to a higher level?
But no matter wat dept i worked for. The rules r strict. NO UNNECESSARY CHATTING. U can check ur mails in yahoo or hotmail but cant surf around! NO blogging is allowed too! Dratz!
